Finally a small town restaurant that gets it right! Just because there's a lack of variety available doesn't mean the food can... be sub par. Definitely NOT the case at Chapala. Let's start with the basics first though. The service was wonderful, very kindand attentive from start to finish. Great atmosphere, very cozy and clean. We visited late after a long day on the lake. soparking was not an issue at all. Now, the reason I wanted to make sure to leave a review: The food there is THE best, mostauthentic Mexican food we've had in ages. The menu has many options and combinations to choose from, as well as a la carteitems. We both went with our favorites, enchiladas. The chicken used in the enchiladas was so moist, but not mushy nor dry likeso many others you would find. The rice was perfect, flavorful and delicious. Certainly not full of ketchup-y flavor like weoften run across. Truly pleased with the entire experience and plan on returning if we find ourselves in the area again. Thisplace is truly a gem! The chops were extremely stale, tasted like very old oil or just old chips reheated. The food was definitely not authentic to my... family. I am visiting from Montana, my family lives here and boasted about this place. They were even disappointed today. Thesoda tasted like pine sol was used to clean and never rinsed out properly. Incredible flan, enchiladas there lunch fajitas come out hot and sizzling so amazing and delicious everything I've had there was... so good and the service is so friendly love the staff there margaritas are also very good if you go you NEED to try the flan Iwasn't a big fan of it but had it here and oh my I have to get it every time now it's so good love this place. This lovely little Mexican restaurant is the newest edition to the Mora, MN food scene!. The inside is charming decorated in a... traditional Mexican style with warm and bright colors! It is cheerful and welcoming!! Cristina is one of the staff working atthis little gem and she is AMAZING! She always seems to have a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye as she is taking anddelivering orders!! Such a delightful person!! The food is OUTSTANDING!! So many delicious Mexican dishes from which to choose!They even have a vegetarian section to the menu with veggie fajitas that shouldn't be missed. I got the chimichangas with chicken. Very good flavor. The burritos are ginormous and I heard their hot sauce has great flavor... and not just heat. I ordered a margaritas which was listed for $5 for happy hour special. I was charged $9 not sure if it wasbecause I got a strawberry blended or why it was almost twice the price but you might want to verify the price before it's made???? service was fast and staff were pleasant.
