We had a place on the Crystal Coast for a number of years and during that time, Circa 81 was one of our favorites. After 5 years... away we finally made it back and took the whole family to experience this gem...and it did not disappoint. I was very glad I was able to get last minute reservations to Circa 81 before leaning town. The staff is very friendly. There... was one gentleman who later introduced himself as Peter that walked around with a smile lending a helping hand to the servicestaff. Seems everyone pitches in here. The ambiance of the restaurant was overall very dimly lit with warm colors all around…definitely a great date night spot. We started with cocktails. We ordered a pomegranate (mojito?) drink, a peach tea cocktailand a coconut drink…. ALL WERE AMAZING! We ordered so much food but our absolute favorite was the “Rustics Bruschetta”!!!We substituted goat cheese with fresh mozzarella! This is an absolute must dish! But as with most restaurants there is alwaysgoing to be one dish you don’t approve of and the consensus was the sweet potatoes quesadillas… they truly tasted like aconcoction of bad ingredients. The sweet potatoes inside were the consistency of baby food loaded with cumin. They were a hardNO for all of us. Despite that single dish, our overall experience was great! Went for a date night and the hostess was very nice, even seated us early! All the tapas we ordered was excellent, I recommend... the pork belly. I had the ribeye, which was well prepared and my wife had the mixed platter, which was amazing. The onlycomplaint was that our meat was all a little closer to rare than medium rare but not enough that it was an issue. Willdefinitely return! Read more
Great dinner spot. The tapas were wonderful and fun to share. Our favorite was the potstickers. They have a good selection of... craft brews and other adult beverages. We can’t wait to return and try more of the “small plates”! Read more
We eat at Dank Burrito, which is affiliated, but for some strange reason, never tried the "mother ship". I'm sorry we didn't... stop here ages ago because the food is great. I had the shrimp and grits, and it's a different take in how they prepare it, butvery good. Everyone else in our group had various dishes and they all loved it. Read more
