This is the most amazing restaurant. It is an experience not just a meal. I would definitely select this restaurant and make... reservations way ahead of time for a memorable event. The food is out of this world. Hats off to the chef Read more

We came here for a little getaway after our wedding and had dinner the first night. The food was amazing. Each dish was better... than the next if that is possible. The flavors were so on point and robust. I would definitely come Here again it is not to bemissed. The service was also amazing, the wait staff was so polite and Personable. I was very excited to finally try this restaurant. I was impressed by the menu, the reviews, and was really looking forward to... it. I am not new to fine dining. The food was excellent, absolutely incredible in every way. The salad my mother ordered wasbeyond tiny, with only 3 small sprigs of greens. It could hardly be called a salad, but that is still something I could havelooked past. However, the service was about as unfriendly as it could have been. When we chose to sit inside instead ofoutside, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Our waiter didn't even say hello, or ask us how we were. He simply askedif we were ready to order. With each visit to our table, from several servers, I thought perhaps it would change. Itdidn't. I don't mind spending money on fine food, however, the ambiance and service also needs to match the price point. Inthis case, it did not. I have long been saying I would love to spend a night in one of the cottages for a special occasion. Ino longer wish to do so. I will continue to visit other fine dining restaurants in the area that actually seem to appreciatetheir customers, and don't find them to be an inconvenience. Read more

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of this place. I didn't even know there was a town called Morris in CT. Tried to get a table for... Valentine's day, by they were booked out, so I thought Feb 13 works just a well and got a 7pm dinner. Starting with the valetand coat check at the gate, the service was very professional, which set a tone for the rest of the night. We both opted for the3 course prix-fixed menu for $99 each. The Octopus starter and Lamb pasta entree were stand outs. They have a comprehensivewine list as well, but choice is limited if you're ordering by the glass. Between each course, the chef sent us complimentarysnacks that paired really well with the meal. After dessert, we spent a few minutes just hanging around the building andadmired the restored historic house. Overall a very good experience for special occasions. Read more

Visited on Sunday lunch, and they were able to serve tasting menu that was not on the lunch menu. All the dishes were delicious... and beautiful. The whole experience was about 2.5 hours, and the service was fabulous. I forgot the name of the server, but hewas very professional and friendly. It?s the only five diamond restaurant in Connecticut and should defintely try. Read more

Top 3 dinners so far, easily. Gated entrance, waiting valet and coat check, with a guide to our table. Set in a beautiful old... home, very faithfully restored. Warm ambiance set by several wood fireplaces, with a similarly warm and friendly staff. Thefood, prepared by Executive Chef Chris Eddy, was wonderfully plated and tasted even better than it looked. The deserts, bypastry chef Jim Hutchinson, were a great bookend to our experience at Winvian Farm. Read more
