Four of us drove from Montreal to Morrisburg to see a show at the Upper Canada Playhouse in late October. Stopped at the... McIntosh Country Inn for lunch around noon. We all ordered the table d?hote - turkey dinner. It was the worst restaurant meal Ihave ever had! Firstly, the meal was only lukewarm. The one slice of turkey and gravy were the only edible items on the plate.The corn kernels were soggy and starchy, the roast potatoes were cold, way over cooked and hard and the dressing (which I didn?ttouch) consisted of unseasoned blobs of bread. The service was the best part - efficient and friendly. Luckily the meal wasreasonably priced at $14. The prices on the regular menu were very expensive for such a modest venue in a small town. We went there Thursday evening for dinner. Service was excellent. Food was awful. I had the roast beef dipper. The ciabatta... bread was toasted & should not have been. Hard as rock. My wife & our friend had the cod. Cod was good but no veggies. Theydidn't have any so it was replaced with 1/2 cob of corn. Supposed to come with a salad, no salad. My friend ordered the turkey.Freezer burnt. Why would you have turkey in August?? We have been here a few times & enjoyed it. but this was the worst. Willnever go back. Read more

Unexpected gem off the 401. Clean, quiet, affordable, and child (and dog) friendly. Pool and hot tub, and great beach down the... road. Restaurant food was disappointing and overpriced but good service. Highly recommend this hotel. Read more
