Market Taverne quickly became one of my favorite places for lunch and brunch. It has the feeling of a home with outdoor porch... seating option in warm weather and excellent menu choices for every palette. I especially like the chicken salad. The bar areais casual and the restaurant is versatile enough to be a great a place to meet a friend or business associate. It’s a greatlocation close to I-287 and south of Morristown with abundance of free parking. Read more
I went to Sunday brunch with a large group and although the food was very good, the service was awful. Another person in the... group dined here before and told us the waiter has a big ego and acted like a big shot. The place is also very loud and noisy attimes. We waited for mimosas for twenty minutes and had to ask for coffee three times. The food came out and I still didnthave coffee or my entree. The waiter kept making excuses and I had to order again holding up the table making brunch longer. The brunch was good, but the waiter never came back to ask if we needed anything. Great Food & Even Better Service. My wife and I were here for an early morning wedding. We’d never been here before. The place... dressed up really nice and it was clear that the bride and groom were given free range to do whatever they wanted. The staff weinteracted with were very friendly. The food that was out for brunch was delicious. After eating, everyone spread out. We hungout at the bar with the worlds friendliest bartender. We stayed past the end of the wedding and started making plans to comeback on our own. Read more
My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way home coming down 287 through Morristown area. It's a 5 minute detour off the... highway. We got here after the lunch rush and were seated immediately. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed the beautifulweather. The porch is covered so you can enjoy the breeze but not be sitting in direct sunlight. I ordered the smoked salmonpanini and my girlfriend had the turkey croissant. We did a little mix and match and traded each other half our sandwich. Theflavor of each was excellent in their own different ways. They put an excellent amount of smoked salmon in the panini. All theflavors worked well together. The croissant was light and fluffy and was a great vehicle for the turkey and avocado. Read more
