So my wife and middle son come in on Sunday 10-30-22 around 4 pm. Marsha B. was our waitress. This woman was one of the best we... have ever have had anywhere. The food was EXCELLENT and we had 2 appetizers as well and they were spot on. The entireexperience was the best we have ever had at Applebee's in Morristown Tn. Me and some friends went out to eat before going to Frightmare Manor for Halloween ????. Well, the 5 of us ordered off of the 2... for $24, $27, or $30 menu options. The taste was flavorful but the 6 ounce sirloin I ordered literally nearly killed me lol????????. Let me explain: I was chewing my last piece of steak ???? and it was so tough that I got choked on it regardless of mechewing on it like a cow chews cud. One of my friends had to perform the heimlich on me and save my life, thank goodness!!!! So we thought that we would have a lunch break started out good until we sat down the restaurant was a little busy well don't... know why but anyway waitress came over ordered drinks so I had a sweet tea my husband had coke the girl came back to take ourorder so we ordered I said this tea is not sweet she said I personally saw them put sugar in but I'll bring you some sugarpackets because I know it's sweet so I said we'll just bring me coke instead well she continues with ill bring you tea from theother container I no just bring me coke so she said ok well never saw the coke she went back and forth no coke we got our foodstill no coke finally my husband said are you going to bring her coke or what oh sry forgot I sad no don't bother just take itoff my bill and of course she was talking fast then so me being me I left her 1.60 tip and a note that said plz don't argue withthe customers. Applebee's was short staffed. My husband and I were patient when someone came to seat us. Our Server was great. Problems: 1)... When Food Runner drops off your food and literally runs off without you getting to ask them where the 2 sides of Ranch are thatyou requested with your order. 2) My lack of Sauce on my Whiskey BBQ Burger (see picture) 3) No sauce on mt Husband's Chickensandwich. Had a great meal with friends the food was great and the service was great. Applebee's have a great menu and are consistent with... their delivery of well prepared food as stated in the menu. The staff were attentive and quick to serve what we ordered withoutbeing over fussy disturbing the meal, our waitress even managed to understand our various UK accents. Made our first visit and was not disappointed! My 5yr old son devoured an entire cheeseburger! And kept saying it was the best... he's ever had and how much he loved it! I thoroughly enjoyed the club sandwich that I ordered, and found the French fries to beperfectly cooked and seasoned! Service was fantastic! Selena was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. First impressions are important, I was prepared for a not so good experience. WOW, Was I wrong !!! Our waitress, Amy, was swift... to the table and quick to ask about drinks. She gave perfect time for us to decide on the order. The good , to my standards ,was just shy of perfection. I am very particular about my steak, it was fine to PERFECTION. The garlic potatoes where very homemade feeling and the onion crisp were superb. My only criticism was the green beans were slightly overdone. The bartender was onpoint with my drink. Our appetizer arrived in a timely fashion and was exactly as ordered. Another patron entered theestablishment, wearing entirely too much perfume, and I was able to change tables without a fuss from the staff. I actuallyfinished all my food and have compliments to the chef, yes, I said chef. In my opinion , only a true chef can cook a perfectrare steak. At this juncture, I would highly recommend. Read more
