The atmosphere is what you would expect from a local pizza joint in a strip with other restaurants. But the pizza was real good,... I ordered two slices and had pepperoni with extra cheese. I was truly impressed and wanted more for dinner. The hours open say11-8PM, went back at 715 PM all lights were off and door locked, he did open the door to ask what I wanted, but was out of pizzaslices and I didn’t feel comfortable wanting to order anything as they were literally closed an hour early. My hotel was walking distance I'm not from the area or have been here but I'm glad I was able to try good pizza and wings it was... a hell of deal for the pizza I got for Mondays special love the food and dude cooking my food was quicker than any pizza place Ibeen too in and out within 5mins. I’ve been to many little local pizza places in my time in North Carolina, but honestly, nothing will ever beat Vicino’s.... It’s amazing that I can say that after only going there once, but the point remains true. The pizza was great. I had twoslices of pizza topped with pepperoni and onion: the onion was deceptively sweet and it was amazing. The crust was crispy, ararity for these types of pizza places. I also had ranch with it and it was just amazing. But nothing, and I mean nothing, beatsthe customer service. They were so kind and accommodating, and it felt familial. When I needed ranch, they got it for me. When Ineeded takeout containers, they got it for me. The best example of their amazing service was when I was packing up my stuff togo, and, unprompted, the owner asked if I needed a top for my ranch cup. I was blown away. Delicious!!! Original Stromboli and the Pear Salad was what the unforgettable owner prepared for me. I sure do hope this place... survives pandemic round 2.0. Any time I visit a new place and the 'regulars' come in for their favorite meal, I get a goodfeeling come over me. When the food is as good as they go on about, I must join in the praise. Great pizza & pasta place by RDU. Looks like a husband and wife team operation. The kind of place you would like to... support. Great quality & value. The lunch special is on point. Everything here is fresh and made to order. The salad was freshwith better ingredients. The pizza was excellent, big Italian-American style. We had them cook it for a few extra minutes to getthe NY vibe. Recommended. We took a calzone for the next day, it was excellent too. Will go again when at RDU. KEEP them inbusiness! Read more
