I just might write a review every time I eat here. Service is top notch. Ask for Connor. Food is beyond. The chef and owners... will treat you like a rockstar. This time I tried the lamb and it was some of the meatiest, juiciest, most perfect lamb I'veever had. And the dessert. Omg. Read more
We would normally not be going out during the weekend because everything is so busy with tourists but found ourselves out and... Stax not quite as busy as normal. We snuck in and was able to grab a bite. Conor was amazing. We had an interesting tomatolobster bisque, some fried brussel sprouts, and carnitas tacos. We finished off with a brownie which was very good. The tomatolobster bisque was creamy with enough lobster bits to make sure the taste wasn't overdone by the tomato. The fried brusselsprouts were served with a lemon garlic aioli and were very nice. The carnitas tacos were served on a corn tortilla with salsaverde and were so very good. We were impressed by the food and Conor times everything perfectly. This is a place to schedulefor a return visit, maybe a Saturday afternoon wine with some snacks would be lovely. Read more

STAX will forever hold a special place in my heart! Over nine years ago, my husband and I did our first road trip and stopped... in Morro Bay where we fell in love. 2 years after that, he proposed to me at The Rock and we had our engagement party at STAX.We rented out part of the restaurant and had family and friends to celebrate. Fast forward to 2020, we're celebrating our 9thValentine's day at STAX. This place never disappoints! + AMAZING SERVICE! Just the friendliest, warmest, most accommodating,and helpful staff. They are always so cheerful and inviting, and super knowledgeable on wine! + Great location! It's an easywalk to The Rock and lots of sight seeing. You have a beautiful view of the bay and The Rock. + Beautiful and relaxed interior.Lots of seating to relax and enjoy vino + Great music that sets the mood + Wonderful wine list from local wineries anddelicious nosh. Decent wine bar with grub to match. Location is at the end of Morro Bay and it?s makes a good spot to wrap up a jaunt around the... Bay Area to wind it up with a good swing of the red grapes. Bourbon Glazed Pork Belly was a winner for sure! Read more
