We love Sunshine! Both the grocery and supplement stores have been our family staple for 9 years. Greg & Sarah are totally... humble and generous, but Greg is the largest source of wide-range health food knowledge I?ve ever met. They run a businesswith full integrity that is like a family, full of long-term employees whom we consider friends as well. Tim, who manages thesupplement department, has been an natural medicine resource for 30 years; he is as knowledgeable as a naturopath, If not moreso. This place is like the Tardis; it's bigger on the inside! Great variety and very knowledgeable, friendly staff. I especially... love the bulk bins and the selection of plant-based foods. The supplements section is very good, too, and, like I said, thepeople who work here know their stuff! Read more
Really nice selection of bulk-bin foods, from fig bars to date bars to grains and nuts. I enjoyed the fresh sopressatta that I... got from the fridge. I would like to see more beverages on offer... there was almost nothing but soy/milk and other dairy-typeproducts, and almost no single serve items to drink. Read more
I drove by this place at least twice a day for a long time until I finally stopped in and I am shocked at how much bigger it is... than I thought. They have a lot of quality products and I will start buying my food there. I didn?t know they were a completegrocery store. The staff is very friendly and answered my questions, I would guess the people working there have been there along time because when answering my questions they referenced personal experience and opinions. This place is amazing. Although it is a fairly small store, you will find everything you need here. There is more actual food... here than the entire city block size "Super" market up the road. Also, the host to a very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Locally owned and operated... food stores simply do not get better than Sunshine Health Food ! Read more
I've honestly never been somewhere that had such amazing food with such poor service. We had to get up repeatedly and ask for... items we'd ordered and they just completely forgot about (food, coffee, etc.), and were waiting outside within visible view ofthe staff for 22 minutes after their opening before the staff even acknowledged us and let us in. We would have left if wedidn't have so many dietary restrictions. Amazing food though, and worth dealing with the horrible service if you're vegan orgluten free. Read more
I had lunch here twice and it was so great to have healthy food options among all the heavy fried food restaurants in Morro Bay.... I really enjoyed the taste and freshness of the sprouted grain bagel an avocado sandwich. The tempah BLT was tasty too, but alittle too sweet for me. Read more
