The black eyed peas were salty, the collared green were bland and unseasoned and I specifically asked were the ribs smoked and... was enthusiastically told they were smoked in a smoker in the back which instantly turned insulting when I got them home,smelled and tasted them ( oven baked). This Is It...definitely is! This is as close as you'll get to your family favorite southern home cooked dishes. Delicious food... off the grill, baked, or fried with all the sides and desserts. My only issue with "This Is It" is the inconsistency of tasteand texture in the items served. I'm sure that depends on who's cooking on certain days. Other than that, it would be 5 stars. Read more
I went there this Monday around 7:12 and they were busy, I personally hadn't seen it that busy on a Monday in awhile. As busy as... it was the ladies working there handled everything in stride and with smiles. The main 2 reasons for the stars is because Iordered this meal from the all day special section and it offered a fountain drink for a $1 and $2.00 for a bottle. I asked forthe fountain drink and was told that it was a lunch special but on the sign it didn't advertise that at all but they made itright for me. The last thing is that even though they were busy I waited over 30mins for the fish nuggets and it only takes afew minutes to cook. The few people in front of me had cooked to order as well and it was chicken, all I know is that fish cooksfaster than chicken which is why I ordered it, so I wouldn't be late for work. Horrible. My fish nuggets were half done. The sign said closes at 9 or 10.... They were closing at 45mins early. The ladies at... the register were unpleasant in spirit. The food is beyond expensive. The shitterlings was straight up the worst I've evertasted. They are right....for me...This Is It! I will NEVER go back. A total waste of $40 for two meals I could get at most soulfood places for half the cost with a better taste...and more than likely similar service...ijs. Read more
Rice was undercooked, and the rib tips had a questionable taste. Not too sure about the freshness of the meat. We ordered a... sweet potato pie that was very good. The 2 dinners we ordered was not good, but the pie was excellent. We go at least everycouple of months because the food is pricey, but after this experience we may go back ONLY for the sweet potato pie. Read more
Son and I got the 2 for $30 dinner special. I got the rib tips and Son of mine got the brisket. Came with the dessert and drink... also. Good taste.. for us this was also the best value. Read more
While in Jonesboro Georgia, I stopped at this restaurant. We went inside to order. It was clean with friendly staff and Great... Food! It's a little pricey but I had enough for lunch the next day. Yes I'll recommend it! Read more
