The smoked pork and brisket was amazing!! Especially with the tandoori sauce. The cauliflower hot wings were very good as well!!
Had a wonderful meal here tonight. First time but won’t be the last. The smoked wings are so good as is the garlic mashed... potatoes. Very flavorful and juicy meat, excellent selection on the menu for appetizers, main dishes, and sides! A little pricier, but... with some reasonable options! Would recommend the brisket and Bella Mac and cheese! Atmosphere is clean, and modern. Service wasfriendly and efficient, but of course I wasn’t here at a busy time. Definitely a first choice for juicy and flavorful meatwith excellent attention to detail! Also, I highly recommend you read the reviews, especially bad ones.:) They paint a picturethat this place is run by someone who runs a truly great restaurant and has service and quality as their top priority. Italmost makes me want to write a bad review just to see what his response might be, but try as I might, I couldn’t. I haveeaten here several times and the food has never failed to thoroughly impress me. I am not aware of a better option for miles. Read more
Great food an service!!! Our waitress recommended all of our food choices which was very helpful since we have never been here... before. We got the Pork Nachos, Brisket Sandwich and Pulled Chicken meal and all was phenomenal! Everyone was super friendly andthe service was fast! Would highly recommend Dax’s Smokehouse! Read more

Don’t walk… Run to this amazing Bbq hangout. Matt and his team know how to cook!!! An explosion of flavors in every bite.... Everything is handmade fresh with the finest ingredients. Our steak nachos were splendid with spicy pickled japs and tendersteak medallions. The horseshoe was a generous portion of potato wedges, brisket, cheese, and toast. Pulled chicken wasfilling with tasty side of Bbq sauce. Support this local business so that we have excellence available right here in MortonIL. My sons and I finally managed to get in here and we were not disappointed! The pulled pork in the nachos and horseshoe was... tender and tasted great, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. I snuck a bit of brisket from my son's sandwich, and it, too wasamazing. We opted to try the smoked wings as well, and they had just the right hint of smoke to balance with the honey srirachaaioli we chose. Just a great lunchtime stop for us. This location has limited seating so we probably wouldn't bring the wholefamily, but we'll definitely be grabbing some takeout in the (hopefully near) future. Read more
