Horrible sums it up. Ordering is via a terminal, which was confusing and not well thought out. The people behind the counter... were not friendly at all. The whole new dining experience at Steak n Shake, is the last visit for us. The clencher was when mywife asked for another cup to share her shake she was told "we can't do that anymore, you'll have to buy another shake". It wasapparent that none of the employees wanted to be there. Oh, and the food sucked. Cold fries aren't appealing and lukewarmhamburgers are just wrong. Too bad, but I suspect it will be closed soon, probably due to low sales. Read more
Probably the best steak n shake we've had in years. The fries were hot, fresh, and just right. The burgers were equally... delicious and neatly assembled. I know this sounds like a weird review but we haven't had such a quality fast food burger in along time! Very impressed. Read more
We always love the food but going in for "dine in" is a different story. The Kiosk ordering is bunk especially when it asks if... you want to leave a tip. For what? You order it all up yourself, pay for it yourself, sit down and go get it yourself after theycall your name aaaand clean up after yourself. I guess we will just keep going through the drive-thru instead for being waitedon. Read more
Steak n shake used to be about service. There is very little service since they've done away with waitresses...Its confusing... enough to navigate through the kiosk..but it took 40 min. to get food..The food itself was outstanding as always..just wishthey'd go back to service. Read more
Not sure exactly what they did to my burger but it was supposed to be a double and was 4 very thin slices of something that I... didn't eat. See picture. The fries were dumped in my bag upside down and loaded with an unbearable amount of salt. Way to messup a burger and fries! ???? Read more
As you come in to this establishment you notice how clean it is, then you place your order, the wait wasn't long, & then your... number is called. I ordered a steak Burger, with fries, and a vanilla shake. The food was delicious ???? the meat was nice &tender, the bun was soft & fresh. The staff get your order to you right away. Yes family friendly. ???? As for the cost of themeal, it depends on what you order. We shall be back ???? Read more
We ordered and paid online and chose curbside service. We called the number on the sign in the parking space and was told by the... man to come inside and pick up our food. My husband's meal was great but mine was missing my side and just ok. We would eatthere again but didn't see the point in ordering ahead or curbside if it wasn't being used correctly. Read more
I placed my order at the kiosk and went to the pickup area like I was supposed to. Everyone else got their food and I noticed... that they had put mine in the online pickup area. That was after I waited 15 minutes already. I asked them how long it had beensitting there and if it was cold. The person who looked like a manager said he would remake it for me.
