We had a great time having deep dish pizza here. We're not huge fans of deep dish, but we heard this was a fantastic place to... start. We got to sit at Anthony Bourdain's table. He once said that Burt's deep dish pizza was the only one he's ever liked. Wecouldn't agree more. We stuck with the basic pepperoni and mushroom and it was delicious. The wait staff was also super nicetoo. There's inside seating, outdoor, and outdoor/covered. Read more

Very good pie. I would put it about the same as the popular local brands but without the hubbub of those ones. Like the area... and the service was spot on. I recommend and will be back when in the area Read more

I've never had deep dish pizza before but let me tell you this was the real deal. I'm from NYC so I am for sure a pizza fan and... Burt's is nothing less than amazing. We stopped by as they were closing and the staff still took our to go order gladly. Sadlysince they were shut there were no seats so me and my buddy to eat at. So we just took it right outside and ate it on the hoodof our car and it just made our night. I think the staff also appreciated it because, EVEN WHEN CLOSED AND CLEANING, theyoffered us forks and knives and napkins/paper plates just to make sure we were able to enjoy the pizza as best as we can. Notonly is the food amazing (I can probably write a whole essay on the crust/cheese) but all you really need to know is the staffreally cares about their customers, their product and YOUR experience. I will come here every time I'm in the area. Thank youguys, eating Burt's on the hood of our car will forever be a memory I cherish. Read more

Burt has not lost his touch...even after passing on this restaurant to the people bestowed such honor. I have never been to... this place before a few days ago. But for what it holds true..the pizza was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. We came inon a Wednesday...middle of the week and sat inside on a afternoon that beckoned the outdoors. We got a mostly empty room whilethe outside remained busy ...and we felt comfortable at Burt's place to hang out in a booth an a quiet atmosphere. The servicewas fine for how over worked staff can be...so got served adequately knowing she was taking care of the patio too for the wholeplace. The pizza was reasonably priced at around 20 dollars for a medium one topping.... While so many places can up it to25-28 dollars for a medium one topping pizza (pan or deep dish) The two of us ate half the pizza and had the other half forleft overs. That is a 20 dollar pizza for two meals for two people. I'm happy with the purchase. The atmosphere inside wasawesome with eclectic and old timey stuff strapped to the wall. Enjoy a night out here and get some old school Chicago styleservice in a quaint but mighty place. P.S. I think Burt is still running around back there....if I only knew.... Read more

Some excellent pan made pizza at some really competitive prices that beat many other pizza joints around. Pizza comes out hot,... in the Iron skillet it was cooked in. Perfect amount of ingredients ratio to the crust. Crust was perfect. Definitely wanna comeback & get some pictures. There is a small bar with a good variety of beers that one can get. It's a small bar on the outsidepatio with a TV playing sports games. Maybe around 6-8 chairs so the place isn't focused on being a bar. They are focused onmaking great pizzas for their customers. Wanna come back with my family to get this pizza again. Read more

I was going on a date and naturally was going to do Pequod's in Morton Grove. To my disappointment, they were booked and as I... was searching for another pizza joint, I was pleasantly surprised that Burt's Place is still open, five years after Burt'sdeath. I hopped on it right away and it's great to see that they have kept most of the nostalgia that Burt left behind andimproved the amenities (indoor heated patio, bar, additional beer and wine choices, online ordering and rsvp option). Burt'sPizza is legendary in Chicago folklore (check out Anthony Bourdain's feature). I got the 12 in pan pizza with sausage, mushroom, and spinach. The pizza came out crisp and their specialty crust is as good as advertised. The service was very friendly. My dateenjoyed his pizza as well. Will go back there again and definitely rsvp ahead of time as they only open during the evenings andit is still a small place even with the patio expansion. Read more
