I have to drive about 30 minutes To get to this very American Chinese restaurant. This place has the best eggrolls in Illinois.... I should know because i have been searching for a few years now. I used to get Palace all of the time for lunch when I worked nearby but then they sold it to another member of their family and... it was hit or miss. This evening I ordered Kung Pao Chicken (they call it something else), egg rolls, crab Rangoon. I also askedthem what beef dish would be good and the guy recommended Yu Shin beef. Everything was AMAZING! And my kids loved the beef asmuch as they love the Kung Pao. I will return again soon and hope they keep up the consistency. Read more
Been a long time customer to the palace. Today I found baby cockroaches crawling in my side of chopped green onion that I like... to add to my egg drop soup. Not only were we not compensated, but no one apologized. I will no longer be coming to this dirty,filthy place. Not the first time I found a roach here. Last time one was crawling up the wall. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever tried to eat! Second time in two months that we ordered Pork Kow and told them 2... times while ordering we wanted it bar b quad. It was not! My Moo Goo Gai Pan looked anemic. Hardly any veggies. The saucelooked grey, much like my egg drop soup. I packed it up and took it out to the garbage. It is so hard to find an Asian restaurant that has gluten free options! I've found my place here! They can make almost any item... gluten free besides the fried / floured items of course. I got the beef fried rice and Yu-Shin beef, it was all so delicious andso flavorful! Even my family members who do not have any gluten allergies were able to enjoy the gluten -free options here. Idid not get sick, they prepared my order carefully and even separated my order from the rest of the order to notcross-contaminate. One of the best Cantonese restaurants I have ever been to.
