This restaurant looks and feels old. Our waitress was nice, but slow. The food was just okay. Pretty sure the salad was made... with bagged lettuce, the cheese in the salad was from a bag...just not fresh. The salad dressing was not good. I ordered friedmushrooms, the portion was very generous, the breading was separated from the mushroom. When you bit into the mushroom, thewhole mushroom came out, as well as a stream of very hot water. Those mushrooms were so tough you literally could not bite intothem. The service was awesome. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. Too bad the food was not good. Ordered a $30 steak... and got a plate of gristle and unchewable meat. The skin on the baked potato was burnt. My sister ordered the same cut, and itwas the same way. It was just a huge disappointment. Burgers although big were pretty dry, shredded cheese not melted on the burger, buns stale and crumbly. Server was nice,... daughters chicken fingers were very tasty but pricey. Burgers were cheap though. Kind of dirty in there but it's also a superold building. Read more

No bread, no fancy butter whipped with honey? Salad came to the table on a plastic, transparent dish, lettuce was warm, ranch... was packaged in a small ?to-go? cup, and pre-packaged bacon bits sprinkled on top. $30 Rib-eye?thin, charred around the edges,so much, the burnt meat interfered with the overall taste of the steak. It was very bland. The canned mushrooms were classy.Served on the same dish as you get at Denny?s. As if this isn?t enough, they were flipping chairs up on tables and moppingaround us as we dined so they could leave the second the restaurant closed. Oh, and they allow smoking inside. Nice little local place off the trail. No way you will know this place exists unless you had see the billboard and someone local... takes you there. Very reasonably priced and friendly service. Typical bar food with some nice steak and seafood options. Iopted for the Grilled Chicken with beans and a salad. Others tried the shrimp and steak and or traditional burgers. No one wasdisappointed with their meals. Margherita was a little too much ?Kool Aid? like taste and no selection of bourbon. When youask for bourbon, you get a list of ?whiskey?s as options. After traveling through Kentucky these past few years, you begin tolearn the difference.
