Worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time. Management were screaming at customers when I got to the restaurant. I... was looking for a nice plate of Mexican food after having gone whale watching for 4hrs. Looking at the reviews I thought thisplace would be perfect. As soon as I heard people being screamed at I knew I should have left. The food I would describe asboujee expensive white person Mexican food. I can guarantee you that the local farm workers have never set a foot in this place. The food was over priced and not that flavorful considering the price. I will definitely be closing one of the other threeMexican restaurants that are close by for real authentic Mexican food at working class folks prices. Read more

Curiosity had me stopping at Moss Landing for the first time. Haute Enchilada is an eclectic looking place with an art gallery... in the back. It was late for lunch and we tried to walk to the gallery in the back. We got stopped by the hostess who told usthe gallery is closed but that they can open it for us if we get lunch there. OK FINE. Turns out the food was excellent andthe Mexican theme paintings did not disappoint. I had the local rockfish grilled over black beans, plantains with avocado creamand quinoa with mole sauce. My wife and I visit this part of California every few years and this is always the lunch we look forward to the most.... "Delicious" does not quite describe how good their entrees are. It is pure art on a plate. Bravo to the chef(s), whoconsistently put together such a wonderful experience. The patio has an eclectic feel to it that compliments your lunch. Greatservice as well.
