Lynn Presley, presumably the owner, was over the top welcoming. We showed up after he had left the office but he came right out... to greet us and show us to our RV site. We only spent the night but it looks like a wonderful place to spend a few days - maybewe will come back someday!???? Read more

This is such a fun place! Very family oriented. Activities include swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating and jet skiing. Most... of the picnicking areas are shaded. There are also rv sites. Looked like most sites were full so might want to check beforehand. There is a restaurant on site. My group dined there and the food was amazing and plentiful. The restaurant is worth thetrip alone and won't break the budget. We met Mr Presley and he was very welcoming. Alcohol consumption is frowned on. So ifyou're looking for that kinda party you might want to take it somewhere else. Read more

This is a wonderful family friendly place! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained! They strictly enforce the no alcohol... rule to keep the environment kid friendly. It's great fun for swimming, boating, or just relaxing and enjoying the view. Youwill find plenty of shaded areas, grills, and picnic tables as well. Read more

Not our favorite. Sure, a few sites get a pretty view. But other than that? ?>Most people live here, or at least leave their... campers here for LONG lengths of time. (Looking at google earth should have been our first clue.) ?>The ?pull through? siteswe were in for our few nights were so muddy. The camper previously in our spot left huge ruts that we thankfully didn?t getstuck in. Not to mention, they?re short. We had to park our truck in the parking lot which we did not love. ?> The beach ismuddy and mostly a spot to cool off for the locals. ?> Everyone flies through there especially since it?s open to thepublic. Our GPS also took us down a smaller backroad so if you choose to go here, be careful if you?re in a longercamper. It?s inexpensive but not somewhere we would return. Read more

This is a gorgeous campground! The property is stunning sitting right on the river. We sadly were only there for one night, but... would love to come back. Because of the large water expanse it seems most sites would have a view. There is a restaurant onproperty but it was closed when we were there. Also, we didn?t use the bathrooms. It is a very quiet serene environment. And Ithink the only rule is no alcohol. Sure beats the long list you usually get! ???? Read more

10/10 - This place is at the top of our list for campgrounds, and that is saying a lot since we RV full-time, and change... locations every week. Lynn's hospitality made our family of four feel like family. The amenities were amazing- laundry, hotshowers (with great water pressure), the ability to have mail delivered, kayaking. It was so peaceful and we cannot wait toreturn. This place is a slice of heaven! Read more

Great place to enjoy the Escatawpa river and it's surroundings. Highly recommend taking the kayak/skiff in towards the jackson... creek and check out the river cypress trees. It's a very interesting ecosystem- trees growing from the water, dark waters fromtannins, lot of birds, fishes jump out of the water all the time. The beaches are great too. Read more
