The French Onion soup my husband and I had, had absolutely no taste and the onions in it was hard. My husband orderd the chicken... catchattorie and it came out with white sauce when he ordered red. The pizza we ordered to take home with us was horrible. Ittasted like a pizza made from a box versus homemade pizza dough. No flavor whatsoever. Won't be back any time soon. Read more

Today, when I went to Metucci's, it was to celebrate a personal accomplishment. I first went there in 1978, and I've been there... a number of times since. Forget Olive Garden. This is the real deal. It's like stepping back into time and experiencing whatit's like to eat in the dining room of an old Italian home. It's very relaxing. Very comforting. I've always had greatservice here. Which is why I keep coming back. But today was a little different. This is the first time I've been to arestaurant, by myself, since my wife passed away 3 years ago. I've been putting it off, because I knew it would be difficult. However, my server today was Ashley. She really blessed me today with her level of energy, her personality, and her grace. Sheimpressed me so much that she joined the ranks of the best servers I've ever had, with 2 others, a server from Hotel Hershey, and Scott's (a former restaurant in downtown Harrisburg). She made my day, and greatly enhanced my experience today. The meal Igot today was great and arrived fairly quickly. Compared to some other Italian restaurants, Metucci's gives bigger portions, andthe quality is so much better. Along with the ambience, it is just a great dining experience. The result of small town living. This is rapidly unraveling. Take advantage of it while you can. Soak it up. Revel in it. Celebrate it. It's the remnant of abygone era in our history. Read more

We were there for 3 hours and didn't even do dessert. Granted, we had a large table but we called ahead earlier. We had 1... server and it took 45mins to get water on the table. An hour for bread and we couldn't get butter for much longer after that. The calamari was rubbery and bland, and they served cocktail sauce with it... the clams took more effort to chew than tridentgum. The entrée was huge but sadly it was not good at all. Bland, not cooked well and just not good at all. I don't intendto he mean but all the food was just beyond sub par. It was packed so I guess the locals like it but I would have to disagree. The atmosphere was crowded and dated and the area is very rundown. We will not be returning. Read more

I was disappointed to say the least. I've been familiar with the name my whole life, so I must have put them in a higher class... based on the opinions of others. I had ordered two of their Chicken Cordon Bleu meals, which have no special accompanyingdescription to tell you that it is not the cordon bleu you ate and are picturing in your head right now. So you could imagine myconfusion when I opened the box to find chicken parmesan with a piece of prosciutto(?) tossed between one of the pieces ofchicken. When I called they told me "that's our cordon bleu, thats how we make them." We ordered some soup as well. Pasta figoliwasnt bad, I never had it before so I cant compare it to anything. It didnt leave me thinking Wow but I would probably eat itagain to break up the monotony in this areas food choices. The wedding soup must also be made "their way". Again, not bad butnot particularly good either. Looks almost like its made with rice? I dont know. The spaghetti appears to have been made how youwould expect it to be, that's a safe bet if thats your kind of thing. I would get it without the sauce unless your partial towatered down tomatoe paste. Now I dont mean this to be some free advertisement. I havent been paid for this review in any way,but you can have this $15 meal for two for the economical price of $52. Read more

In Disabled, everyone was super friendly and I was served within minutes of finding a table. Incredibly delicious filling food,... I sat in the bar area and it was a little crowded. But usually had a table open. I'll be back to review the restaurant tables inthe back. Side door are open if you don't want to go through the bar entrance Read more

When my father-in-law said, ?I want to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to go to Martuccis,? I though, that seems a bit far for... Italian food. But boy was it worth it. I don?t know much about Mt. Carmel, but they have a gem. The serving sizes weremassive, in fact my chicken alfredo was enough for two dinners. On top of that it was ridiculously creamy the whole waythrough. I got my chicken blackened, which the waitress recommended, which was perfect with the seasonings. My wife got theirhomemade ravioli and she described them as pasta pillows from heaven. They were massive, and custom ordered to be filled withcheese, meat, or both. The red sauce was also extremely sweet. On top of all that, the prices were extremely fair. A massivepasta dish cost about $10. Not bad when it?s enough for two meals! The atmosphere is unassuming, charming, and a blast from thepast. It actually adds to the experience. I truly felt like I found a diners, drive-ins, and dives spot that Guy hasn?tdiscovered yet. Did I mention the bread was home made? 10/10 would drive an hour and fifteen again. Read more

Was in for a pizza last Friday, the 1st. I liked the pizza just fine, I guess. My dad used to take us there in the 70s. Wow... this place has gone down hill. There was a broken beer bottle smashed on the sidewalk , two employees out smoking just ignoredit. Very disappointed, won't be back. Read more

The wait here isn't too bad unless you're starving. Apps r delish. Drinks r good. $$ Entree is always fabulous. To name some... dishes is impossible however ask if you don't know what it is. Waitress we had was adorable n VERY helpful last Saturday..makereservations by calling the reservation phone number, not the restaurant number. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for.Bruschetta, not so much. Read more
