Had a burger (cooked precisely to medium-rare as ordered), fries and beer. Food and service were both very good, unobtrusive but... attentive. Cheerful waitress didn't call me, "Dear", "Honey", "Sweetheart", as so many do. That was a plus. Read more
Came in at shift change. The bartender/waitress was visibly irritated with us when we sat down. Would have liked to try the food... but only took our drink order. Maybe another time when it?s not shift change. The draft beer was good though. Read more

Excellent sandwich and fries! A train = a free jello shot! There's lots of trains! Love the atmosphere...great nostalgia.... Incredible daily specials. Awesome staff, quick service. The pizza looked amazing and I'm told it is. I'll have to try it when Igo back. Read more
This place was excellent everything about it was great. They were even short staffed and we had pretty good service. The food... was immaculate, all hot and fresh. We got the fish and chips but instead of chips I got there baked mac and cheese was asubstitute. And that fish was amazing, perfectly fried beautifully crispy outside and the inside, it was gorgeously flaky piecesof meat that just fell apart. The photo I took should explain some of it how flaky it was. We also got the muffaletta sandwichtheir version, I say their version because I've had the real thing and it's not at all the same. Theirs is good though it's madewith a pizza dough so it looks like a piece of pizza with dough on both sides sort of like stuffed pizza from Tanya's. Couldhave used some more meat inside but the meat that was in there was very flavorful. Oh man a muffaletta from Central Grocery andDeli, eatin next to the mighty Mississippi what an experience! If they made that sandwich here... Oh and the baked mac n cheesewas outstanding! Wow I didn't expect it to be so good even came out in a ceramic pot with it all crispy around the edge. Was sohot and fresh it was still warm when I was boxing up my food! Very cheesy and the noodles were pretty close to perfectly cooked.So the kicker here is we're sitting here eating having a good time, a train goes by, like 10 minutes later they're walkingaround handing out Jello shots! I mean like who does that?! It made our experience there that much greater than it already was!Apparently every time a train goes by they do that and it's been a tradition forever. Oh yeah the appetizer was great the deepfried mac and cheese bites were on point. This is a great place and will definitely be back and probably continue to go back.The atmosphere was great had the whole Firehouse vibe going on, they had fixtures from the original building still on the wallsin some places. My friend and I tried to go for dinner on 12/5/22. Needed to sit at a larger table due to all smaller tables for 2 being full.... Bus boy came and stated ?We can NOT sit there.? He went to go get the manager, I guess. Manager asked if it was just us twowhich it was. He said it would be about 20 minutes and walked away. There was no line of people and about 5 larger tables openonly. Considering how rude they were, we left. I?ve never been told I can?t sit at a larger table since those were the onlyavailable tables. I can understand if they?re busy which they were not. I will never go here. Read more
