I had no clue there was new staff, which is why I understand why the place is empty. The other thinner young kid was making the... Pizzas they were a lot better and the tickets weren?t misplaced. I called ahead to order for pickup I show up 40 minutes laterand No Pizza because the lady who took the order misplaced the ticket, the guy making it he Pizza says I guess we misplaced theticket or whatever but I can have it ready in 10 minutes, I?m hungry I have kids to feed so I wait. Towards the end the samelady who misplaced the ticket told one of the new kids you should take his money. Now that she won?t misplaced she make sure mymoney was taken not even an I am sorry we will discount you or something for my mistake. They lost a good customer. Read more
I?d like to preface this review by saying that it pains me to provide a 3 star rating to this restaurant. The staff is friendly,... and they recognize regulars, the food is fine, average for the area, and the prices aren?t bad either. As a matter of fact, theonly reason I?m giving 3 stars is because of the dine in experience. There is something morbidly wrong with their fountain drinkmachine. All of the sodas taste very strongly like spearmint flavored gum and the staff doesn?t seem to know why. Two separatevisits over a month apart this was the case. Now, the staff was very happy to offer me a different flavor when I first pointedit out, and even the second flavor was just as bad. The first visit that I noticed this issue other patrons complained of thesame issue, and the staff tried the soda and also noticed it. I?m bothered that it isn?t fixed yet, because the taste is trulyawful and I?m slightly worried it might be from the chemicals used to clean the lines. To point out, the first time I noticedthis issue, over a month ago the sodas I tried were Diet Coke and root beer. Today was Diet Coke and sprite. My mom had waterand her water tasted fine. As I mentioned, my experience at Anthony?s is always great, and I?ve been coming here for almost 10years, but I would be doing a disservice if I didn?t inform the restaurant or other patrons of the soda issue. As... someone that moved back from Florida from Manhattan, THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE NEW YORK PIZZA that I have found to date that , whenI close my eyes after taking a bite of my pizza, puts me right back in Manhattan taking a bite of Joe?s pizza. Yes, it remindsme of Joe?s Pizza on Broadway that we all went to eat at after a play. Today I ordered a Calzone, I normally get a cheese pizzaand a half dozen of garlic rolls. This are, seriously the BEST and FRESH garlic knots. All i am saying is, GIVE THIS PLACE ACHANCE! Look at all the positive results. You will taste and smell Manhattan when you eat in this place. The young man behindthe scenes is always making sure he does the best that he can, so dedicated. I believe he is the owners son. I think they haveother locations not sure, only care about this one. First time here and my dad had been telling me how great it was. Prices were very reasonable. We got a medium meatlover's pizza,... Garlic parmesan wings and strawberry cheesecake. The pizza was loaded with toppings and high quality as there was no grease. Thesauce had a great flavor and the dough was the perfect texture. The wings were HUGE and perfectly cooked. And if you have roomfor dessert, definitely get some cheesecake! Really good food and Max went above and beyond considering we came in just beforeclosing.
