We stopped here because it looked different. Glad we did, surprisingly great food for a restaurant in a former gas station. Give... it a try, you won?t be disappointed. Read more

Just ate here after my son's soccer game and everything was fantastic! Our server was amazing and wish I'd gotten her name.... Young, blonde, super sweet woman who took extra special care of the kids. Loved it and definitely will be back! Read more

We were looking for a place to have breakfast on this hot summer morning. It?s outdoor seating but the fans they have really... helped. I ordered ?The Chicken or the Egg? omelet. That?s the one with the chicken tenders. The tenders were okay, and theomelet was amazing. GET ???? THE ???? POTATO ???? PANCAKES ????. They give you apple sauce and sour cream. Read more

They are now open for breakfast 8 am Wednesday - Sunday. Return visit February 2022. Innovative menu. Tonight I had delicious... pork chops with spiced apple slices, green beans and wild rice. A perfect portion, delivered timely by an attentive staff. Ifinished the dinner with Strawberry Short Cake. I forgot my pill box on the table. I connected via FB messenger. They held itfor me until I retuned the next day. Nice outdoor setting with a "specials" menu that I always choose. Never disappointed. Read more

First time trying this place out and sadly I won?t be returning. Maybe it was just a mishap on my order but first impressions... are lasting. Pros - Outdoor seating , big spacious tables , great and courteous staff, big selection of beers, self seating sozero wait time on tables if one is available. The deviled eggs were the only good thing I was served. Cons- the rest of thefood I ordered , I ordered a crab cake which was $18.99 and I love crab cake but sadly there wasn?t any flavor to the room tempappetizer I received. I ordered the Mediterranean Skirt Steak medium well, and ended up with an extra crispy extra well donesteak with about 12 fries on the side. The waitress informed me that the crispy steak shrunk so they would be giving me an extrapiece that was medium well. Look at the picture for comparison. We ordered chicken tenders and fries for my daughter and thosealso came out extra dark and extra fried , sadly my daughter took one bite and refused to touch it again. My wife ordered thefish n chips which looked good but she said had no flavor. I had high hopes because this place looks great and staff was nicebut the food was seriously lacking. I won?t be returning . Read more

We had a fantastic dinner at Fifth Avenue Streatery. There were 9 of us (and a puppy). They put together two tables for us. The... temperature was in the low 60s and they put on a couple of heaters, which made it very comfortable. The chairs are lightaluminum and are made comfy by the cushions provided. The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Now aboutthe food... We started with fried green tomatoes, pimento stuffed fried jalapenos (sweet hots), and the nachos. All weredelicious. The fried green tomatoes and the sweet hots were served with a delicious house made remi sauce. The nachos areamazing (see photo). For main courses we had the grilled shrimp, the beef and cheese sandwich, pot roast (special of the day onTuesdays), fish sandwich, tacos, Mt Dora Burger and a regular burger. All were superb. The pot roast was amazing - tender andflavorful served with mashed potatoes and gravy and glazed carrots. Everything is home made and you can tell. One little rule ofthumb that I have developed for myself over the years is that if a place makes their own tartar sauce (or other sauces) you arein for a treat. This definitely holds true for Fifth Avenue Streatery. I checked the grilled fish sandwich and, sure enough, there was house made tartar sauce and it was awesome. My wife joked that I should just go ahead and lick the bun...the thoughtcrossed my mind, but we were in public and I thought better of it. We were all too full to try desserts, but they looked greatas well and are homemade like everything here. I will be back for the bananas foster crepe. Overall an excellent experience ina fun casual atmosphere of a converted gas station. Try this place - you will not be disappointed!! Read more

My Wife and I didn't plan on coming here originally, but I'm honestly glad we did come. It was a nice beautiful day and we ate... outside with some very nice shade. The staff there were SUPER friendly, smiled, and treated us nicely. We had Courtney serve us,and she was very delightful and respectful. I appreciated the recommendations and the checking up on us and refilling whateverwe may needed, so she was very professional. I personally got a Mt. Dora burger, it was delicious and the foods quality is offthe charts! It has fried goat cheese on the burger, which I wouldn't eat alone, but it went so well with the burger, which was apleasant surprise! The onion rings and ranch were also really good! Living in this area for a couple of years now and I'msurprised we didn't discover this place sooner! We will definitely be back. Read more
