Very traditional Indian restaurant with a broad offering of curries, naans, and my favorite - vindaloo. All dishes are available... mild, medium, hot or Indian hot. There is a daily lunch menu that's available until 2pm. Limited seating but an excellent staffand excellent food. Wine available by the glass or bottle. Great place for a quick curry at lunch or a quiet dinner. Read more
The service was very good and welcoming. Our reservation was honored and our table was waiting for us. The food however, lacked... flavor. The mixed appetizer was somewhat ok. Lamb dinner was dull. Chicken tiki had no flavor. There was no air conditioning inthe restaurant so it was hot and muggy in there. It is not my thing to write bad reviews so I'll give it 3 stars because at theend of the day it's a family business. But it could have gotten 2 stars if the service wasn't as welcoming as it was. This restaurant is not only beautiful it's delicious. Everything we ordered was prepared and presented nicely. We ordered an... appetizer, two entrees, and dessert with chai. Honestly my first time being able to really enjoy Indian food. Read more
I LOVE Indian food! This place is great! I love that you can sit at serendipity brews and eat carry out, and they run it over to... you. Yesterday I got the cauliflower, garlic naan and rice. I totally recommend any of the vegetable dishes. It would have beennice if there was a lot more cauliflower and less sauce, peppers and onions. Read more
I've tasted Indian food all over America. This was the best I've had. I had the Shrimp Biryani OMGosh it was sooo good. The... waiter sat me quickly, and took my order quickly as well as the place was half full. I'm moving to the area so I expect I'llbe going to Shiva quite often. I?ve never tried the Indian food and thought that it?s spicy and to much for my white bones but I was so surprised and loved it... here! The hostess was very welcoming and her husband is the owner and the chef and he is an Indian so it was so authentic. Goodprices and very tasty. If you not like spicy food they will do it for you mild. The lamb and spinach dish were awesome. Thankyou. Will be back for sure Read more
When two cousins come together to start a family owned business you know the food will taste good. I was every impress with this... family owned business here in Mount Dora, FL. It might be a small restaurant but the attention to detail of the the goldartwork, lights, budda shrine, decor style make it unforgettable. I ordered the mango drink with yogurt that I usually get butthis place puts fun different designs in the milk on top making it extra special. I liked it. The food was delicious and justthe right size portions so you don't to much or to little. As you will see from the pictures you should definitely stop if youare in town or passing through like me.
