Family owned. Super friendly place. Great service and yummy food. Stopped by for lunch with my family and 2 kids. It was... awesome. They even came out after we sat down to eat with a tray of cookies straight out of the oven.. Went around and offeredthem to everyone. Staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Had a wonderful lunch at Local Joe?s Café in Mt Juliet. This is a standard cafeteria style Meat & 2 (or 3 if you want) but I... must say the people who work there make it special and vibrant. I decided on the ham (although all of the meats lookeddelicious) with mashed potatoes and peas for the sides and a slice of red velvet cake. The ham was delicious with a slightsmoky/salty flavor and the potatoes and peas were good. The red velvet cake was moist and sooo good?the desserts come from alocal bakery. Overall this is a solid Meat & 2 and the service was exceptional. From getting you drinks to clearing the tables,everyone was so friendly and helpful. First time visiting, I ordered to go! The worker bee was very friendly and helpful! I got the cabbage, collards and sausage with... peppers minus the rice. Hands down southern cooking and trust me I know southern food!! Y?all should go! Friendly atmosphere! Read more

Very good meat + 2 ! Check the daily menu for their selections. Expect at least 4+ meat and 6+ vegetable options to choose from.... Two types of cornbread and deserts too. Great service, they get your drinks for you. This is a busy strip center so parking maybe difficult at busy times. PS: be in the lookout for a server to pass by with your cookie sample, free! Wow. This is a great spot, and you can tell by how busy it was! Great service, too. Super friendly, and I witnessed more than... one employee help those who might need assistance carrying items to their table. The food? I ate it ALL. It was delicious. I gotthe Cajun offering (haha I don't remember what the called it, but it was sort of like crawfish etoufee), spinach, black eyedpeas, and jalapeno cornbread. Dad got ham, loaded mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and cornbread. Really really good. Give thema try! Read more
Stopped in here for lunch while out of town on business travel, and couldn?t be happier. I always try to go to someplace that I... can?t go to locally and this was the spot this time and their food was amazing. Not to mention the service at this place wasbeyond amazing. I had no less than three of the staff stop by and ask if I needed anything when I didn?t need anything. Highlyrecommended for delicious southern style cafeteria food. Read more
Turkey and stuffing were on point . Had the fish it was good and bbq pork but stay away from cheesy potatoes was not even warm... really other than that it was good I wouldn't say best but it was do able. Server was very nice and offered us some cookies onhouse . Read more
