First stop in. Thats why 4 stars. I ll come back for sure. I had the redneck taco. Hoecakes( cornbread pancake), pulled pork,... slaw and jack sauce ( vinegar based) with a side of mac n cheese and 1/2&1/2 sweet and unsweetened tea. A fork is the only wayto eat this dish, no folding taco technique here. The texture of the hoecake was very good when paired with the tender pulledpork. I especially like the crispy pieces mixed into the meat. The slaw had an amazing mix, thinly sliced so a bite wasn'tmessy. I thought at first to ask for a different sauce because I'm a molasses based bbq person, but I went with the originaldish and was not disappointed. Even added more at the table. The Mac an cheese is not your kids Mac n cheese. I wasn't socheesy. A little dissapointed, it felt like more milk than cheese so the texture of the cheese broke and got grainy unless theyadded breadcrumb for texture which some do. But over all was good. I ate the whole dish and will more defiantly come back. Theprice was spot on as well. Read more

Disappointing. Ordered curbside. We got the $22.29 brisket trays. The meat was dry, the cornbread hoecake was burnt beyond... recognition, it was not edible. They didn?t give us any BBQ sauce that we ordered. I dipped in ketchup since that was the onlycondiment we had at the house. Very disappointing, considering we had a much better experience in the past and were expectingthe same quality. Read more

Unique and delicious! This Kansas City girl had her head turned by some whole hog Tennessee pulled pork. The cornbread cake was... savory and almost crispy. So much character to this place and friendliest staff! Read more

We were traveling through Tennessee and wanted to stop at a Nashville BBQ place and this was on the way (with a slight detour)... to our destination. The BBQ sauce is really thin (a bit watery) but very flavorful and delicious. Their brisket is probablysome of the best I've ever had. I enjoyed the ribs. Their mac and cheese was top notch and the cornbread hoecakes were fantasticdipped in their sauce. Their chips were made there and seasoned wonderfully. Service was great too! We all loved this place. Read more

Apparently no one at this sorry excuse for a restaurant can read directions. I clearly said NO PICKLE NO COMEBACK SAUCE ON MY... BURGER, yet it still ends up on there. I also very clearly said I wanted the Alabama vinegar cream sauce on my bbq sandwich, butthey gave me the MOST PITIFUL DRY SANDWHICH! COMPLETELY DRY! Not to mention it?s all cold, and tastes very very old! I will betelling everyone I know DO NOT GO TO MARTINS! Read more

Make sure to check your order if you get it to go. I placed a couple of online orders, one brisket plate, and one brisket taco... meal. I arrived at the correct time to pick them up, they brought it out to my vehicle, I didn't check the order which I shouldhave. When I got back home, the brisket taco was correct, but instead of a brisket platter I received a pulled pork platter. Icalled back to tell them about the mistake, and the person at Martin's BBQ joint told me that next time I should be more carefuland to check the food before I leave... I asked them if I could bring the incorrect order back, and give the correct order. Iwas told no, that since I had already received food, I could not return it for the correct order. I was told if I wanted what Ipaid for, that I would have to buy it again... Definitely will never visit one of these locations ever again. Oh yeah, thefood was just okay, nothing to brag about. We visited the Mt. Juliet location. The dry ribs were absolutely perfect! Catfish was good too but my second piece of fish was... tiny. The hush puppies were my favorite side. Macaroni, potato salad, baked beans were okay. The service was great. We didn'ttry dessert. Read more

Can't say I've ever had a taco with a pancake as the tortilla but that what the "Redneck" taco consist of. Had the smoked... chicken as they were out of brisket and a side of Mac and cheese. 1- It is filling. 2- tastiest part was the sauce. 3- beerwas needed to wash it down. Overall the presentation was great but fell flat on taste. Every was just bland. Asked to sit atthe bar, then had to order food at the walk up, and then order beer at the bar. Weird but ok. Read more
