Hardly anyone in restaurant. Waiting at table over 15 minutes, before we got up and left. No one was being served any food, we... didn't even get asked what we wanted to drink. Bread used for sandwich was small, villagio size so a very short loaf. I was glad there was a large side of mashed to go with it... as the sandwich wasn't nearly enough for a meal. Then I attempted to eat the mashed potato, I have never been so put off by amash before. It was barely Luke warm dispite being on a plate nearly hot enough to burn you and it was crusted over on top asif it had been plated 3 hours prior and put in a cooler, the mash was lumpy, and flavorless and the gravy that was served withit was too think to get to mix in. Servers were lovely though and service was fast, the space was well cleaned. I have nointention on returning but others may enjoy it. Read more

My wife and I went out to Smitty's for dinner. I ordered a New York steak,mushrooms,onions and a caeser salad and a coffee. My... wife ordered a Salisbury steak,french fries with gravy and a Pepsi. That was 5:50 pm. Our order arrived at the table 6: 45 pm,the steak was fine but no onion,no mushrooms and no caeser salad only fries. My wife's order was fine except the Pepsi was dietPepsi. I asked the waitress about the mushrooms,onions and the Caesar salad.She said she would get it, she never came back. Whenshe did come back a half hour later and no salad or mushrooms or onions,she took the order off our bill. The waitress blamed iton the kitchen staff even though she was the one who took the order. Not going back to Smitty's,there are other restaurants inSt John's. Not at all pleased with the service.From the response of other customers were also upset with service. Read more
