The Southern Man sandwich was amazing! I usually get the Caesar but very glad I tried something new! Ate about 2:30 pm and was... a quiet time. Read more

I can't recommend their "#1 The Reuben". I eat Reubens every time I want to try out a new menu and here it was listed as the #1... original Max & Emily's sandwich so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was not impressed. I might try another one some time as Ijust moved here for a year but it certainly won't be #1. I actually came here because I saw "bakery" without looking at thephotos... My mistake obvs as all they have to offer are sugar cookies and croissants. Both looked the same color to me! I wasreally hoping for a nice treat, sadly disappointed. Read more

I took my daughter there for a birthday lunch. We were pretty much the only ones there at the time we placed our order. My... sandwich was good but it wasn't made as I asked. I was hoping to treat her to a dessert and they didn't have any. I wasn't veryimpressed. Food was good for a deli sandwich. Read more

Visiting from out of town, we came to Max & Emily?s for lunch on Saturday. The place has a small town vibe. It was fairly busy,... but we were able to dine in. It?s a sandwich and soup shop - with a LOT to pick from. You order at the register and then theycall your name when the order is ready. (Similar to a Panera feel that way.) I got a #99 grilled cheese - the cream cheesereally set it apart. I dipped it in a cup of the roasted red pepper and Gouda soup. Superb! We also got a #63 fiery turkinator. It was classically good - along with the chicken and dumpling soup - everything you?d expect from a good soup and sandwichcombo. It was a little pricey but we left full and glad with the choice in a small town we?re unfamiliar with. Grabbed achocolate chip cookie on my way out. $1.25, huge, good - do it. Read more
