I love the vibes at Midori. The lotus blossom cocktail is ????and I have never been disappointed by their specials when it comes... to sushi rolls. They do a good job of changing up their sushi offerings regularly and we're always in love with the new rolls weget to try. Creative AND delicious. Read more

Midori Sushi and Martini Lounge is definitely a must! My girlfriend and I went there for our 3 year anniversary and wanted... somewhere nice! We found out about Midori while looking online since we love Sushi! Everything we tried here was amazing!! Eventhe salad! The waitress was very nice too. We ordered a few different things on the menu including some of the martinis(drinks). The beverages were unique, really good flavors! The prices aren?t bad at all. They are actually really decent for thequality of food! We will definitely be coming back! Read more

Really great sushi. I mean EXCELLENT! But only mid-level cocktails. Lacks the passion, attention to detail, and bartender... knowledge/skill of a truly great cocktail lounge. But honestly, I don't know that a really great cocktail place could survive inMount Pleasant (and if many folks would really know or care about the difference). So chances are good you'll probably reallylove the drinks???? Read more

I was passing through town and stopped in for a bite to eat. The atmosphere was on par with what I expected (nice). The food was... great. I had the beef stick appetizer to go and had it for lunch the next day. It was even amazing then. While there, I had therock lobster roll, recommended to me with added pepper flakes, and not to use soy sauce as it robs the truffle oil taste. Thisis one of the better rolls I have ever had in a while, and yes even that far from the ocean. If you have a chance to stop in, Irecommend trying this roll the way I described. And thank you to the bartender that recommended it to me. Also, take a triparound the corner when you're done with dinner and stroll through the park. That was also from the bartender, and I was a niceway to relax after the meal. Read more

Outstanding service and food. Everything about the experience was great. I had the scallops and rock lobster specialty roll and... both were excellent. Definitely recommend. Read more

Midori- beautiful setting and atmosphere But?.miso soup was more/less water with a few chunks of tofu and seaweed. Salad was... dry and uneventful, even when juiced with extra dressing. Sushi chefs in Japan train for years to become sushi chefs. Isuspect this restaurant can survive due to wonderful atmosphere and lack of competition. But then again, this is mountpleasant. They have a good thing going here, but food quality is not it. I ordered yellow tail to test. It waswrapped-that?s strange. No wasabi on the rice-that?s strange. Rice volume and temperature not in range -that?s strange. So, Ileft. I?m now at kuji sushi to see if they can do better. Please note 4th and 5th photos are from Kuji habachi and sushi. Note the difference in miso soup. I recommend kuji food and personal experience over the ?high class? atmosphere of Midori, hands down. Midori has the space, but they are a long way from a good, even further away from a great sushi restaurant. Iwish them both the greatest success. Read more
