What a perfect find. Don't let the strip mall location out you off. We sat at the bar and were served by the lovely Candice who... frankly is a machine, serving bar, clearing tables and bringing out food to the restaurant, all while talking to us and theother bar people. What a find. We were looking for somewhere to eat close to our hotel as we'd had a long drive but we didn't want to head to a... fast food place. After looking at surrounding restaurants and reviews we chose Graze. I am not going to lie, I was dubious whenwe turned up, it's in strip mall and the windows are blacked out. DO NOT let this put you off. When you go through the door itis everything you weren't expecting when you first see it, cute interior, nice bar to the left and wonderful staff. Candice wasour server as we chose to eat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. She was helpful, chatty and funny. The food wasdelicious, I'll go as far as to say it was some of the best we'd had on our trip (we're uk based and this was a holiday). I hadthe citrus chilli short rib tacos which came with a salad, hubby had the cilantro limb buffalo shrimp tacos and we shared a sideof pomme frites. Everything was super tasty and if I could have eaten more or eaten it again I would have. We'll be back if weever visit Charleston again. Read more
3 stars because of my wife's entrée and the price. I honestly really enjoyed my meal. We got the chicken livers for an... appetizer. Honestly was both of our first times, but we figured we're southerners now, so we had to try them. Highly recommendthem. We both loved them and they were the highlight of the meal. My wife got the crab cake & gumbo and I got the meatloaf. Mymeal was great, but my wife really did not enjoy hers, though. She said that her gumbo tasted like it had been left overnight ina dirty sink, and seemed like it had sand in it. I got a beer and she got a cocktail. Came to $96 bucks after tax and tip andeven though I enjoyed the meal quite a bit, I don't feel like it was quite worth that. Read more
Everything about my experience was wonderful, especially the food! Ordered the special and the alfredo sauce was to die for! The... tenderloins were great, free of any gristle or fat, and the broccoli was seasoned perfectly! The waitress was friendly andpolite, coming around at just the right times. Absolutely delicious. I got the filet mignon- cooked perfectly, sauce delicious, sides great! My friends got the chicken and... waffles and scallop special. Both said 10 of 10! What do you do when you're in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant? You eat at fine restaurants! My wife and I were staying nearby and we... wanted to try something close and new to us. We found this place and we were not disappointed. It's locally owned and nottouristy. The food is superb! The menu is wildly varied and they specialize in "small" plates. Don't be fooled. The plates arenot really small. We chose three to share and we were full. We also had drinks, coffee, and split a dessert and our bill wassignificantly less than $100. Quite a feat in a touristy, foodie area. We will be back. Read more
