I was born and raised in South Texas, and as a result, my standards for Mexican food are a bit higher than the average person's.... This place is absolutely incredible. The atmosphere and food really reminded me of home in all the best ways. The flavors areauthentic, the decor is really cute, and they have a really awesome patio. Service was terrible. Food was terrible. The steak was chewy and disgusting. No one even checked on us after our food was... brought. We didn?t even receive all our food. We asked for more chips and never received those either. It was not busy at all.Now I see why no one was there!! Never again! Silverware was dirty too. Read more
Seated immediately on a Saturday night. Food was excellent. Best chips and salsa I have had! Chicken en mole pablano was so... delicious! Sadly, the terrible service overshadowed the food. Waitress would walk past our table without a glance. When wewould try and get her attention, she just kept walking with her head looking straight ahead. We sat on the patio and there was a swarm of flies but our drinks came out quickly and so did the food. The margaritas were... affordable and tasty but unfortunately that was all the good news. The food was not ideal, the beans smelled very off puttingand the taste was quite gross? the rice was dry and I would almost say hard. The chicken tacos were decent but didn?t have a tonin them just chicken and lettuce and a ton of sour cream. There is better Mexican in Charleston but the good news is this placeis cheap but unfortunately we got what we paid for! Read more
It was a decent non-corporate resturant. You see yourself here, sat at the bar. Service was fair and so was the food.
Sat outside .. no joke over 30+ flies swarming us? our waitress completely noticed and would not come up to check in. We did not... eat the food.. so nasty! I mentioned this issue as it?s unsanitary and they still charged us full price .. EW! Won?t be back Read more
Santi?s is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charleston! The food is fresh, delicious and always consistent! The servers are... like family! Bonus that they have 2 great bartenders as well!
