My husband and I decided to try Maak for the first time today since we were driving through Mt. Pleasant and craving sushi.... Unfortunately, the sushi was very underwhelming. The rice isn?t seasoned (so can it even be called sushi?), which made everyroll we tried?including the nigiri?seem plain. The appetizers, staff, service, & overall atmosphere were nice though. Hopefullythey start seasoning their rice to elevate their sushi game. Read more

Hidden gem of Mount Pleasant and the best sushi outside of Plano/Frisco that I have tasted. Ordered 10 pieces of tuna... sashimi. Sashimi is fresh and delivered daily from Dallas. The rolls are good even if ingredient list might be more limitedthan the big cities. Food was fresh, place is very clean and staff were very patient and helpful. I'd give it six stars ifI could. We would definitely get the Spicy Pork-Boi sandwich with side of firesticks and the Sea nachos again! We couldn't finish it all... but would definitely come back to get our new favorites! Read more

The place is very inviting frm the street. Im vegetarian so they only offered one type of roll. Wish it was the roll w/seaweed... on the outside. I felt it lacked flavor and the slices were small. The husband had different shrimp, salmon, crab rolls and wasvery satisfied. Go see 4 yourself. Read more

I order from here pretty often but here lately they've been super shisty on the Wasabi and ginger. I had to pay for my ginger... but they failed to tell me that it was one measly sliver. And the Wasabi is clearly watered down, no spice to it at all and thepicture clearly shows it's runny compared to what Wasabi normally is. Sad they would do that without warning to people who keepthem in business. Read more

Staff is super friendly here! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want sushi. You can customize almost... anything you want here! I live out of town and I would definitely be back when I come back. They also serve red, white, and sakehere. Read more

This place has some fabulous flavors in their sushi! It's kept a little cool inside, but the front outdoor seating is great. I... have to say that I also appreciate their branding too! Customer service is friendly and you don't have to wait long for yourfood. Small space, so don't think its a good spot for big groups; maybe they can expand sometime soon! Read more
