We stopped in for dinner early Sunday evening. We were seated and our order taken quickly. There weren't many other diners in,... but there was a large group that hadn't received their food yet. OMG JUST AMAZING. Walk in get blasted with such a sweet smokey yummie. Smell. That if ur not to hungry. All of the sudden you... are starving. Kristen our server. Was super helpful. Answer questions with a huge smile. Total of 5 min from placing our orderto getting our food. The brisket was perfectly done every bite was an experience. That the wife said I would have enjoyed moreif I chewd my food. Lol. Right off i-57 in Mt. Vernon il. So it easy to get to and enjoy. Definitely recommend stopping andenjoying on ur road trip..... Here right now at lunch. Been here many times before also and have never had a bad experience. Food comes out quick and hot.... Love their mac n cheese. Chicken, pork, brisket, it doesn't matter what you get. It all comes out hot and juicy. And, yes,including the chicken breast, is juicy too. Place is always clean and inviting. Our go to waitress is Robin. She sees us walkingin and knows what we are having for drinks and brings 'em right over. She always has a smile on her face and is super helpfulwith the menu. Not a fan! Especially for the price we paid. It?s sad when you go to a BBQ restaurant and the best food was the baked potato and... garlic bread. We ordered the Mac and cheese as an app, it was warm at best and pretty ok tasting. When the meal came, thegreen beans tasted like they were canned and flavorless, the burnt ends was like chewing on jerky, and the brisket was so dry itneeded to be smothered in BBQ sauce. Our waitress Jess, was not friendly, she made us feel like we were intruding on her timeand she rushed us. We weren?t even in our seats before she was asking us what we wanted to eat and drink, we didn?t even get tolook at the menu. Read more

My family is huge barbecue pork eaters, so it?s hard to impress us but this particular Bandannas had the best pork I have ever... put in my mouth. I ate there twice during my week stay in Mount Vernon. Had a one night stay at a hotel nearby with no restaurant. This was the best bbq I've had in long time. Great wings and ribs.... Very pleased with the food quality and kind service. Always go local if u can. ???????? Read more
