Stopped in for some BBQ as we travelled through. I had the full rack of baby back ribs with white cheddar mac n cheese with... green beans. It was all very good, with the ribs being quite literally fall off the bone tender. The 'hawg hash' was alsoexcellent..a hashbrown casserole topped with pulled pork. The pork had an excellent flavor. We were seated immediately andserved immediately but the food did take some time to get to us. The total stop was about an hour and a half. However all andall it was worth the wait. Got right in and seated round 4 pm on Thursday. Service was excellent ????. Food was fast, hot, fresh and awesome. I'm repeat... customer brought my boyfriend from Kentucky to eat dinner. Good food. Worth the drive out from Evansville. For those that like their meat sauced when it comes out, this place will do.... They have several sauces to choose from. Large portions and quick and friendly service. The prices are reasonable. For thosethat don't want their meat sauced on arrival, I'd check with the server to see what they can do. I think they do a decent jobwith smoking. The ribs and chicken were tasty and properly done. The close slaw was crisp, not too sweet. I enjoyed thehashbrowns casserole. Everyone else's sides were good. No complaints from our party. There is a decent selection of drinks, butnot a ton on tap. This is one of the better bbq places in the E'ville area, in my opinion. What a cool Lil place in Mount Vernon Indiana!! The food was spectacular!! If you're looking for smoky meats and tasty BBQ. Then... Hawg & Sauce is your go to Hotspot. I got the pulled chicken, white meat with mashed potatoes. It was tender and juicy. I sawthat they have live music on the weekends. This place is incredible! The chips and pork could have been a meal on their own. The chips were cooked to perfection. Boneless... wings were some of the best around. Fish sandwich was breaded just right and the portion size was nothing to complain about. Read more
