Fabulous food selection, freshly rolled sushi and a hibachi option. Food is always hot and looks fresh. Friendly staff and great... service! The entire family will love this place! A little more on the spendy side, but worth it for special occasions! We driveover an hour, just to visit and eat here! Read more
10/8 Update: They made it through the pandemic struggles thankfully. For Sushi lovers, you MUST stop in and give it a taste. ... Their bar is small yet large in flavor. Always fresh with the traditional and not so traditional. Today was smoked salmon andit was fantastic. Picture of the bar added for exposure. Hubby's favorite place to eat when we are in Mount Vernon. Greatsalad bar, grill, and buffet around! Service is fantastic and food is always fresh. Highly recommended! Read more
Went here to have a early dinner with my family, was super excited to see the crab and crawfish was available. When asking what... time dinner was, I couldn?t exactly get an answer seeing as he didn?t speak very good English. I just brushed it off and wasgoing to wait a little bit in hopes it would be available soon. My husband and take turns getting our food because we don?tleave our children unattended at the table, whenever we go out anywhere. Well when I went to go get my second plate the crab andcrawfish was FINALLY AVAILABLE!!! YAYYYYY!!! Get to the table and it?s still wrapped up in the same twine/fishing line it waseither caught in or wrapped up to help bowl them. I don?t know I?m not a professional chief but what I do know is if you aregoing to serve food in big quantities like this at least check the product before it goes out. After this I didn?t want to eatanything else because I was worried I might bite into something else that wasn?t supposed to be in there. Read more

I came here on a whim, and it did not dissapoint! The selection of food was perfect for everyone in our family, even the picky... eaters. The variety and amazing, and the food (though sitting in dishes as a standard buffet) felt like it had just been cookedthen and there! Speaking of just cooked food, they also had an awesome Mongolian BBQ, which was great fun for the kids. Thiswas a perfect way to try out new flavors and foods without worrying about quality or expense. Whenever we are in the area, wewill come again! Read more
Heading to the state park, all the restaurant places were slammed for brunch. Saw the 'open' sign for Royal Star Buffet and we... decided to give it a try. They were just opening @11am. Super clean. Tables spaced out to deal with the pandemic issues.Everyone wearing masks as required, good protocol to deal with the buffet (which we had questions on how). Great selection offood, freshly cooked or rolled. Sushi, seafood, meats, salads, Asian dishes. Above normal 'buffet' standards by far. A couplebland dishes, but there were sauces and seasonings galore to take care of that. Two big thumbs up, this makes the 'will stopagain' list. Read more
Tried it for the first time even though seen it many times. It was not a disappointment at all. Food as all hot. There was a... wide variety from the good old roast dinner offering to the stir fried dishes to a Mongolian grill and wide selection ofdeserts. Definitely worth the visit. Read more
