Very disappointed the quality of El Chico is not what it used to be I ordered food to go spent around $30 driving home I look in... the bag and the salsa was watered down called El Chico and talked to the manager and she knew about it. She first said it waswas the guy making it then she said I know we are going back to the El Chico recipe I don't know about you but I never had thatbad of salsa or I should say really watered down I wouldn't have had that qlty go out like that not to say she didn't even sayhey next time you come in I'll comp you appetizers. We had bought a extra pint in are order because we used to like it. We willnot be going back there anymore. Even the meat is dry when you order We have a couple other Mexican restaurants that we can goeat at. And is not even just about the salsa that was the straw that broke the camels back. What's sad is they used to care. Read more

Honestly, it was absolutely terrible. Lived in there area for about 4 years and decided to finally try it. Ground beef enchilada... tasted rancid. Wife had chicken chimi and it was horrible. Not sure what had happened here, but definitely blown away by the badmeals. We waited way to long for chips the even our water?? C'mon.. Please don't waste your time. El charros will neverdisappoint! Friendly wait staff. Many specialty drinks. Tortilla chips and salsa the best in mountain home...So Far???? I The combo meal... had a chalupa that had a soggy blue corn Tortillasitting right on the rice. I had to scrape it off to eat. The taco was fair atbest with what seemed like a cross between flat bread and a tortilla.. it was the best of this combo. The chimichanga/burrito???? had a wrap that I can't explain. It was this thick gooey??IDK what that had to come off . It was absolutely terrible! Butto be fair, I guess, this is Texas-Mex in Arkansas so maybe I'm just use to tortillas made everywhere else but here. The margaritas come in a tall glass and taste quite good but seem light on tequila, in my opinion. There is lots of parking inthe private lot, plenty of space for large groups and you don't have to worry about covid masks if you don't want to. Theambiance is really not what I would have expected either. Its simple,,clean and nothing that gives the feet of Tex or Mex butcomfortable just the same. I will give it another try and order something else but will not order this combo plate ever again! Read more

Only reason of 3 stars is because of the Tuesday and Friday special they have for sizzling fajitas otherwise a one star rating... due to the rest of the food had strange tast on the flour tortillas and chile relleno had a strange taste I didn't likeither.?? best part was the high quality presentation of the food plates being served. Went with a friend and her two sons ages 6 & 13 and their grandma. The waitress was very polite and quite patient with all our... specific changes and food alterations (picky eater)! She was prompt and helpful and the food was good as well...we went when itwasn't crowded and it was nice and clean. Read more
