Terrific Italian food on the busy Castro St. They have wonderful al fresco dining, we went on a Friday evening and it was a... beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the delicious food. Plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Their complimentarybread and oil was better than most I've tasted, ate quite a few of those! I got the gnocchi al pesto while my friends gotfettuccine alla diavola, chicken parmesan, and penne con pollo. We all really enjoyed our dishes from start to finish. The onlyreason I'm docking 1 star is for the service. Our waiter took quite a while after seating us, and we never felt properlyattended to, even though they weren't too busy. Really good food and service. Great: 1. The oil dipping served with the Bread basket, yum. 2. Caprese was fresh. 3. Ravioli... tasted amazing. Not so great: 1. Chicken was a bit overcooked (but I always say, its better to eat overcooked Chicken thanundercooked one). 2. The layered cake had a little too much of baking powder in it. (I know this because my wife bakes reallyamazing cakes and I'm the one who usually taste it :P) We were pretty comfortable sitting outside even though it was a bitchilly and there was a drizzle.
