I grew up in San Diego and this is the closest any place in the Puget Sound to many of the taco shops in San Diego. Their rolled... tacos were SOOO close to being what you get in SD, but not quite, that being said still damn good. The burritos are damn good, especially the breakfast, carnitas and California. I'm very thankful for this place and when I want a little taste of home Icome here for sure. Keep up the great work! Read more

My favorite item is the lengua taco which is served in the traditional way with cilantro and onion. The hard tacos and the... carnitas taco were also good. For some reason, the carnitas taco automatically came with a dollop of guacamole on top. Atfirst I thought the prices seem high but the quantity of meat is very generous at this location. Read more

Ever since the son that worked there moved to Mexico to get married the food has been completely inconsistent and disgusting!... The female or mother is a horrible cook! We ordered 2 chicken quesadillas, one with jalapeño, one with green onions. Wereceived 2 jumbled messes that in no way resembled quesadillas. They were a blobby mess with HUGE chunks of chicken and insteadof green onions she filled one with HUGE pieces of white onion, making them both inedible! Not to mention that my son almostchoked on a bone! This is unacceptable, messy, lazy cooking. We will not be going back here again. Too bad too, we?ve been loyalcustomers for years! Read more

Maybe it's just timing. But dirty lobby, both workers on the phone one watching TV in the back. Was craving tacos. Got Carne... asada. Tacos were warmish, meat was over done. The open salsa bar shows just how lazy they are. Looked disgusting with fliesflying around. Will not be back. Read more

As an amateur taco critic this experience was boarder-line disgusting. The worst lengua taco I have ever tasted! The texture was... so chewy and the flavor was nearly rotten. If it wasn?t for the kind kids that worked there this would have been 1 star. Notworth coming back! Read more

I absolutely loved my meal here! First, foremost, and most important, the rice and beans were perfect. I ordered seafood tacos.... They were spectacular. I could have used one more corn tortilla, and I probably could have gotten it if I had asked for it. Asit stands, I was more than happy to eat everything that was left with my fork. The guacamole was stellar. I will absolutely beback. Everyone here was very friendly and kind. I came in with a girlfriend who is having a rough day, and we found the comfortfood and quiet that we were looking for. Read more

Incredible San Diego style taco shop! First of all, if you want rice and beans in your carne asada burrito, and you are used to... terrible Seattle Mexican food, please drive your a$$ to the closest chipotle, because you are not worthy to eat this SouthernCalifornia delicacy. Believe it or not, the food here is actually better than many places in San Diego that I grew up on. I wasshocked. There is absolutely nothing better than a nice Carne Asada burrito with nothing but steak, guacamole, and pico degallo. Again, if you have zero taste in Mexican food and want rice and beans in your burrito, go elsewhere. The rolled tacosare fantastic and reminded me of my childhood. Epic salsa bar and free pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños. Once more, ifyou think rice and beans belong in a burrito, you have terrible taste in Mexican food and probably grew up in Seattle. Freesalsa bar is authentically San Diegan, and they have all of the traditional drinks, like horchata. This place is 5/5 stars anddeserves a Michelin star. Guy Fieri should do an episode here. El jefe should be teaching a le cordon bleu Mexican class. Ifyou read this far, and still think that rice and beans belong in a burrito, please go to chipotle. You do not deserve thisexquisite cuisine. If you are from San Diego and are looking for a little taste of home, you will appreciate this place andit?s a lot easier than flying back home for a good burrito. The reviews at other taco shops in Seattle are comical, and Icannot believe the poor taste in Mexican food and the overly generous yelp reviews from unqualified palates. No mamesguey!!!! If anyone rates this place less than five stars, they do not know what they are talking about, so please disregardtheir atrocious taste in food. Trust me, this place is amazing.
