My first time here, service was a bit slow especially when it came to getting our bill don?t know if it was cause of drummie... night or just under staffed. First time coming here and we were definitely not disappointed!!! We had the Cuban rolls with Carolina mustard aioli to start.... It was our first time at David Alan Alan's and everything was 5 stars. The service, cleanliness, wait times, and of course the... BBQ! We ordered Cuban rolls and jumbo drummies as appetizers. I told myself not to get DAA BBQ based off my poor experience last time. This is the time that did it. I ordered the 2 meat... platter with Baby ribs and brisket and Mac with 2 sides of corn bread. Well, to start off, both meat were dry dry dry. It wasvery hard to pull the ribs apart. The brisket was also just as dry. It did not peel apart very easily and almost felt rubbery.Definitely not the BBQ I expected from a place that suppose to be expanding? Yikes! Last but not least. The corn bread lookedpathetic and was overcooked and dry. Looked days old. I would not recommend DAA if you want great BBQ. Definitely a let down toa local food junkie! Read more

We visited with great anticipation based on the reviews. When we arrived we weren't greeted by wisps of smoke outside or the... distinctive smell of true smoked meats when we came inside. I will admit to being a tough judge of bbq but while the flavorswere overall good the bulk of the dishes shared a common theme of being dry/over. We had lunch at the bar and the way the bar isset up there are 2 sides of the bar. Both bartenders spent most of the time on the opposite corner on their phones or visitingwith each other. Maybe I?m in the minority and don?t prefer feathers in my wings. See picture. That?s disgusting and unacceptable. Least they... tasted decent but I had to straight up toss the feather wings. Talk about loss of appetite. I did like the Spicy bbq sauce alot, to be positive. Service to actually get the food was also super slow. Took 30 minutes for some wings and brisket whichshould already be done IMO. The brisket was also quite bland. Not sure how something smoked for 12+ hours can have such littleflavor. Maybe a bad day for brisket I don?t know. Maybe I have covid and lost my taste, but this was the most lacklusterbrisket I?ve ever had. I absolutely love brisket, so I was quite disappointed. I also ordered fries and they were like potatotwists with so much garlic that I can taste it still 2 hours later. Fries need some work. Don?t get fancy, just make some goodfries. This was my first time here, and this place was hyped up. I hate to say I will not go back here again nor recommend. Ona positive, the inside was cool and the bar is nice.
