New review for me. I really like this place, their Sangria is excellent, guacamole and salsa with chips are pretty good. But... today I was sadly disappointed with my dinner. I ordered the Salmon dinner because I?ve had it before and was impressed. But nottoday. It must be a different cook(can?t call them a Chef) because no Chef would?ve served it. My first plate I had to send backbecause it was totally way overcooked and dry. My second try was a little better but not much. I specifically asked thebartender to ask the cook not to cook it so long. I like mine like medium rare, softer and tender inside. It wasn?t. I felt badthat it wasn?t like the 1st time I had it there a few months ago. So I ate most of it but couldn?t finish it for the ends werejust too overcooked. I even wrote on my check that whom ever is cooking today at 5pm Sunday, doesn?t know how to cook Salmon. Istill left them a 20% tip but left disappointed. I have been to this place several times and this will be my last. Our waitress was very rude and according to the manager due to... the waitress being new and only working on Wednesdays and Sundays she was overwhelmed, mind you this was Friday. however thepatrons that were not black didn't appear to be unhappy with their service matter of fact, they were the ones who received thecorrect service. We spoke to a family who sat across from us who experienced the same disposition and also complained to themanager, the manager did apologize and compensate us for the mistakes with our drinks and food. This was my first time stopping into Casa Del Mar and it was just ok. The restaurant was not busy was were quickly seated. The... server was unpleasant and seemed bothered, maybe they were short staffed or she just hated being there. The food was ok and theprices we?re reasonable. The food was okay. I had the pork enchiladas with rice and beans. The pork was flavorless I had to mix the rice and beans just... to add a little flavor period. They gave us chips and salsa while we waited, but no plates!? I literally had salsa dipping allover the place, before I was finally able to ask the server for plates. Other than that the decor was alright. The place wasdecent I'd honestly give em another try. Read more
Love Alma?s margaritas and the food! One of my favorite authentic Mexican cuisine restaurants. Even the chips and salsa taste... great. It?s cozy but not fancy and the people always treat me nice. Read more
Stopped in for a quick lunch, and we made a good choice. The atmosphere was what you'd expect at a typical Mexican restaurant,... but my fajitas were excellent. The chicken was well seasoned, and the peppers weren't super overcooked like they can besometimes at other restaurants. The prices was reasonable at ~$9-11 for your average lunch special, and ~$11-17 for your averagelunch dish. I'd have no problem going back here again. Read more
Great service, our waitress was very sweet. I have never reviewed a restaurant on google before but I felt this food was so bad... I had to.. the chips were so stale. I ordered tostadas and the $10 meal came with 2, both were rock solid stale. I let thewaitress know and they switched out my meal for enchiladas (pictured); no beans and rice on my plate like the other dinner???????? My daughter got the kids burrito, that tasted like it had gone bad or was sitting out? my guess is they?re hurting sinceCOVID and have low quality food.
