On a boring Thursday, nothing can quite cheer you up like some pizza. My girlfriend and I dined inside at a table. Don?t let... their appearance fool you, because they do have quite a bit of seating and even alcohol! I got a Fountain Diet Pepsi as mydrink, which came with free refills. I enjoyed it. For food, we ordered Penne Pasta with Phil?s Special Meat Sauce. The saucehad Mushrooms and Green Peppers in it. It included Garlic Bread. We also ordered a Small 12? Cheese Pizza with crumbledSausage. The pasta came out first and it came on a large plate. We both went at it uncontrollably until it was demolished. Man,this pasta was amazing. The sauce was thick. The garlic bread was soaked with garlic. It was a tasty addition to the pasta. Thepizza came out really hot. I nearly burnt my tongue at first. Their was a generous portion of sausage on the pizza. It was anenjoyable little circle. I almost finished it by myself. Our waitress was very nice and helpful during our visit. She had avery positive attitude and took pride in her job. It?s not too often that you see that. Overall, the quality was definitelypresent here. The prices weren?t too bad. Lived in Chicago for quite sometime & still chose this as my favorite pizza! Family dinner is fried chicken, pizza, garlic... bread, spaghetti & salad. Fabulous! Service is great. Glad to see they are still around. Read more

We tried John's Original today. I must say, the entire family really liked the pizza. We will try them one more time and... hopefully the customer service will be better. Picked up and encountered two separate employees..no greeting, no eye contact,laid the credit card slip on the counter and not even a thank you. Read more
Spring 2018. Friendly services. Crunchy crust and flavorful fillings. Picture of whole pizza was from first visit. Other... dinners looked good. Dining area needs updating, new dining chairs and new table clothes would brighten the place up.....Update....February 2019...ordered large sausages and green pepper for pick up. Taste of pizza would have been better if theyweren't so skimpy with the sauce. Who ever heard of a dry pizza. They also were skimpy with the green pepper and cheese. Plusfree half order of spaghetti that had maybe a fourth cup of sauce. I was looking forward to trying their spaghetti. But thishalf order was a big disappointment. Being consistent is so important in the restaurant business. $ 27.55 includingtax.......Went back 3-19 and pizza was so much better. More sauce, green pepper and cheese. This location is a rear side door entrance and walk up to a counter type of Pizzeria. NO sitting down space observed here. I'm... guess it's a telephone call in for ordering for delivery or customer pick up orders. I ordered a lunchtime special slice ofsausage pizza. At a cost of $4.00. I Asked for a little extra red sauce on top of the slice, while it was being reheated. AfterI received this pizza i found it to be not as favorable as i expected it to be. The sausage meat under the cheese topping wasVery, Very choppy n chipped up and not in single meatball drops as other pizzeria serve in their pizza dishes. It was eatinggrounded up hamburger meat. So I did not like it and I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE AGAIN. It just felt like I was not eating a pizzaslice unrolled, maybe a pizza puff. The meat was too was heavily placed on the dough and making it droop a lot. I visited thispizzeria one other time for a slice of cheese pizza.
