My husband and I went to Legends to celebrate his birthday. We were informed that two appetizers were not available and the wine... that I ordered was also not available. I did order Rosemary's Salty Dog from the bar and it was good. Most of the beef and thescallops are market price. My filet mignon was delicious and very flavorful. My husband said that his scallops were very good. Ihad a side salad and mac and cheese, which was rather flavorless. My husband said his grits were only okay and the onion ringswere crunchy and good. We did not stay for dessert. Our server was good, not we had to flag her down a couple of times inbetween her serving us. The room is large with high ceilings so it tends to get loud. Keep in mind that this restaurant is nextto the movie theater so street parking may not be available. Call for a reservation so that you're guaranteed a table. We rateit a 6 out of 10 stars. This is by far one of the best restaurants I've tried. I'm from the Atlanta area and have eaten at some of best steakhouses in... Atlanta. Legends ranks right up there with the best of Atlanta. I have to eat gluten free and they have an extensive knowledgeon what is gluten free vs not. Their menu has a ton of gf options PLUS dessert! To find a restaurant that has gf dessert that isnot just ice cream, is hard to find. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely try Legends!! Read more
We've eaten here a few times, staff always polite & friendly, very clean restaurant & food is good. We went for lunch had steak... subs w/thick cut steak fries Cole slaw and sweet tea. Tea brewed fresh in house everyday, delicious & refreshing. Subs & frieswere amazing, not fond of their style of slaw. Great day date. Thanks Legends! Read more
Great experience, nice atmosphere. Decent prices & food great! Had a broad variety in options, did not expect that for a... seemingly small town. The hummus avocado & tomato appetizer was my favorite, fun combo, fresh & well served. Loaded nachos weregreat as well. My Carolina Sunrise burger was delicious, egg perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese was very cheesy, mashed potatoesperfect as well! Finally found a place this trip that kept them chunky with their skins. The fries were fantastic too, like hugepotato wedges. My mom got the grilled cheese with bacon & my dad the classic burger. My husband had the 2 pork chops fried withmac. We had driven through Murphy years ago and I noticed it packed, didn't get a chance to stop and eat til this year! Will goback if passing through again. Read more
FANTASTIC! I was bored and hungry so I went out solo to grab a bite and see a movie, noticed Legends is right next to The Henn... Theatre...easy decision. Was immediately greeted & seated by a lovely hostess and not long after my waiter arrived and was veryknowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Ordered a Moscoto and their Not Your Grandma's Chicken & Waffles. I have had C&W from thebest restaurants in Orlando all the way up here in NC, and this by far was the best of the best. Also ordered a side of theirOnion Rings w/BBQ Ranch, and Ranch dipping sauce..those were amazing too and far thicker than most I've had anywhere else. Myserver had a unique name, Blaze, hard to forget, and he did a great job balancing checking in on me without bugging me...he knewright when to swoop in, grab empty glasses and ask what else he can do. I ordered a beer and he brought it too me 75% full andapologized that the keg just blew and they didn't have a replacement, and offered to get me another choice. I was totally coolwith what he brought and told him "No worries, this is just fine." and he generously did not charge me for that beer. Couldn'task for better service and I very highly recommend this place. Looking around, it seemed all their servers were top of theirgame. Go there, you won't regret it. First time here and extremely disappointed. I order the prime rib a wee pink pink, server said medium well..ok. Got it with... blood on it. The server agreed, returned it and it came back still hot pink all through it, and blood on the plate. The serverwas recommending 50 % off?I wasn?t asking for a refund but a properly cooked prime rib. I left the whole cut on my plate and wascharged all but 25% of the prime rib, with no offer for another piece, a replacement etc. The owner was there, no apology etc.The server was doing her best, but the owner was ignoring the issues that the meal was not properly prepared. Super delicious, friendly staff, all around great experience. Expect to pay a pretty penny, but worth it for the taste. My... husband and I each had the chopped steak with grilled onions (it was actual ground steak, NOT hamburger meat, like some placesserve), with red-skin mashed potatoes (a tad bland but perfect with ranch!), and a side salad (perfect size, loaded, anddelicious!) We also got the lava cake for dessert, which was HUGE and AMAZING! Only complaint: Waiter said the tea was "verysweet" but it definitely wasn't lol. Otherwise very happy! Read more
I was disappointed in both the service and the food. I normally give the benefit of doubt to the service if it is obviously... busy. However, that was not the case. There appeared to be plenty of servers and the place was not full. We ordered drinks thatwere on the menu and the waitress came back 15 minutes and apologized for them taking so long. She said they had ran out of oneof the mixers. After another 15 minutes she came back and apologized again. By this time I questioned how long it took to popopen at least my beer. She brought that a few minutes later. My wife finally walked to the bar to get her drink herself. Sheeven said that there wasn?t anyone even sitting at the bar. We had similar problems with the food. 20 minutes after ordering wewere advised that they were out of baked potatoes. No big deal we will take the mashed potatoes. 15 minutes later we wereadvised that they were out of mashed potatoes and had to switch again. Not really sure why so much time in between. Thepreparation of the food was not good either. 2 of our meals were under cooked. My daughters both wanted their steaks medium welland the tags they put in them confirmed the orders were correct. Unfortunately both were not even close to medium in the middle.The only thing that was actually good was the Mac and cheese. Overall it was just a disappointing experience. Read more
