WOW.. SO NOT HAPPY WITH THEM RIGHT NOW. We have eaten there several times and enjoyed it but this was a horrible meal. I placed... the order for carryout and gave them the time I would be there. When I got home, which isn't too far from restaurant, the breadfor the sandwich was hard as a rock...indicating to me that the meal was made when order was placed instead of waiting closer tothe time I would be there. The quality of the brisket was also disappointing. It is normally very tender and tasty, yet it wasneither. We ordered fried green tomatoes which are usually very good, but this time were very soggy, which also indicates to methat the meal was prepared when I called not shortly before my arrival time, about 45 minutes. The dipping sauce for thetomatoes also was not included. On top of all of this, I ordered one regular size sandwich and one larger sandwich. I wascharged for both large sandwiches and given one large and one small. I feel ripped off and it will be a long while before we goback, if at all. Read more
The people are great and the food even better! Be sure to check for any additional premium sides for the day. They can be worth... the $0.99 upgrade!! A full rack of ribs is well worth the value and delicious. If going for Brisket, seriously just go "wet."The kid's meal is a good value too. Kids do have a choice of chips or fries as a side. The pulled pork was delicious. You haveyour choice of sauces and the meat is just so tender and delicious. The collard greens are a must! Just go. For real. Worthevery penny! Read more
Honestly, the most amazing BBQ that my wife and I have ever eaten. We ordered the two person feast. It comes with ribs, pulled... pork, brisket, and half a smoked chicken. I lost count of the number of sides that come with it! The meat is of the highestquality and is smoked to perfection. As they say in the South, you can eat on that for a week! I have a very healthy appetiteand my wife and I took enough food home for yet one more very satisfying and enjoyable meal. Read more
We went on a Saturday and they were extremely busy but it was well worth the wait. I had the smoked chicken which was good,... very juicy. My husband had the brisket and it was phenomenal. It was so good that we went back on Sunday. The hostessremembered us and thanked us for coming back after the chaotic previous day. The service was once again excellent. We wentback on Sunday to try the ribeye. It had to be good, right? We were very disappointed. The steak had good flavor, wasseasoned right, and cooked to our preferred doneness. The problem was it just seemed to be a poor quality steak. It was toughand had a fair amount of gristle. We still enjoyed our meal realizing that we were at a bbq restaurant and not a steakhouse. This place is amazing! True country good BBQ and is always packed. That is a great sign when the locals frequent it. Lauren was... on point as my waitress and always had my tea refilled and kept checking to make sure everything was perfect. My ribs were alittle luke warn and I asked her to zap them in the microwave but she said no sir.... let me please bring you a new rack. Andshe did! Glad I finally had a chance to try them out. What a great BBQ restaurant. This was not a planned destination. We happened upon it on our way home from a weekend getaway. I... had the pork plate which was very flavorful and the sauces are wonderful. My wife had the chicken fingers which were done with acorn meal batter and very tender and tasty. All I can say is WOWWW! My husband and I stopped here a few years ago driving through town and wanted to try it again. It was... everything we hoped for & more! Everything was perfect - the fried pickles, ribs, sides, pork and incredible fried pie dessert!Our server Mark was outstanding!! 10/10 recommend! Read more
Ordered 1/2 rack ribs plate and one pound of pulled pork. The BBQ pork was very delicious. Arrived hot and without sauce... ????????. Only needed a lil Texas Pete and salt ????????. (A few sauces were available if you enjoy the condiment.) The ribswere tasty, just prefer sauce on the side, so make that request when ordering.
