Oysters were only half cooked. Service was excellent. Wife's claim chowder was very good. Just needed to cook oysters longer.... Couldn't eat them. Waste of money. Read more

Do not let the small town storefront fool you. The food is very good and prepared on site. The fish and chips taste like what... I remember from the 60s. Read more

Delicious NE Clam Chowder. Salads big and tasty. Shrimp/Fish special scrumptious! A friend had a Lobster roll and said it was as... good as the ones on the Northeast coast. Read more

Looking for a delicious meal...look no further! Great place here in Murphy for fresh fish with a no nonsense menu. Normally I... would have given it just four stars because the place is small, but the food was soooo good it made up for the lack of space. Wehad the fried oysters and grilled scallops and grilled shrimp. Both dishes were delicious. As an appetizer we tried thespinach crab dip and man was it good with a side of homemade chips. Sides included with our meal were perfectly cookedshoestring potatoes and some really fine coleslaw. If you're in Murphy, the Chowder House is a must stop in for either lunch ordinner. Lovely attentive personable staff, good parking and delicious seafood, what more can you ask for? Read more
