Good food. Their "upscale" dinner was over-hyped. Then again, California is casual.
It's all about how good the food is right? Yeah I agree with the other reviewers that say the food is excellent. We live in the... Roseville area and travel quite often to the San Francisco Bay Area and this place is on par with just about any place inbetween. Chicken piccata was Savory and juicy and tender with creamy potatoes. My wife had the Pheasant which was delicious. Notgamey at all. Mother-in-law had the fish du jour which was salmon with some type of apricot Dijon sauce. We tried four differentdesserts. Everything was great. Service was outstanding. Staff was engaging and energetic without being pushy even though wewere there close to closing time. 100% will go back there. My only critique would be the glasses they serve water in are thesame plastic glasses you would get at a greasy spoon diner. When you are paying top prices (in the area) per plate, I expectglass glasses. The plastic felt kind of cheap. Other than that, everything was spot on! Read more
We had a very enjoyable dinner at the restaurant last night. It's early April. Tourist season hasn't quite begun in full force.... The spring weather and flowers trees grass is beautiful. They have a robust man. You. They have good selection of wines, , nosurprise there. Our server was helpful. The foods with tasteful the price was moderate. If you're in town and want to. Cute outdoor space where they went to extreme lengths to make you comfortable with misters, umbrellas and fans during the heat... of the day. The grilled salad was delicious and beautifully presented. My husband and I shared and he received the same salad onhis own plate. They did go ahead and split it for us. They charged us for splitting it but we only found out when we got ourcheck. We ordered the salmon burger to share and added truffle fries. Again, they split it without asking if we would like it,and the total added to the bill for both splits was $8. The burger was supposed to come with chips but we ordered the trufflefries at an extra $5 charge. Which would have been fine if they were good. But they weren?t crispy, just soggy. And the salmonburger was quite fishy tasting and very dry. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I might try this place again and justorder a different burger and no fries. Read more
