The food was unremarkable... which is sad because I went here about 2 years ago and it was amazing. The pimento cheese was not... good and ruined the burger I got. The best part of the meal was the fried pickles. They are lightly battered and the ranchdressing is really good. Ribs had good flavor but the baked beans tasted like they came from a can. The service was good butit was a long haul for just OK food. Read more

I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was phenomenal! The menu had a nice variety. The history of how the restaurant got its... start can be read on the back side of the menu. Read more

I never knew the beauty of the fried dill pickle chip until now. Holy hell those are delicious! The BBQ was top notch as was the... homemade strawberry shortcake. You won't be sorry. Read more

One of the best barbecue restaurants in the area. Try the fried pickles, they are a favorite. Perfectly seasoned and cooked:... they are not greasy. Make sure you finish your meal with the homemade strawberry shortcake or bread pudding. They are excellent! Read more

Absolutely best BBQ in my opinion! We love the option of ordering online and picking up food to go. The food is always hot and... ready unless it's Mother's day weekend but that's to be expected. 90% of the time they get your order correct in the bag whichisn't bad odds. The pork BBQ is delicious and all sides are rather large in serving and made well. We will remain 17th Streetcustomers for the foreseeable future. Read more

17th St Murphysboro Illinois is the place for BBQ. Awesome service, fast, friendly, happy to serve. The bbq nachos were... loaded with everything. This could easily be a meal in itself for three or four people. We got some turkey, chicken, andpork. All had good flavor without adding anything. The 17th Street spice on the table was an added bonus. It goes witheverything. Sauces all had good flavor and enhanced the taste. Read more

Omg. THEE best bbq I?ve ever had. I had the chopped brisket sandwich. Step one, sample a piece of the brisket with no sauce,... etc. Super tender and delicious smoky perfection. Step two, take a bite with red sauce. Spiced with just amount of heat. Step three (and this is the best part!) sprinkle the ?Magic Dust? on top of the sauce?WOW! Super complex explosion of flavor. Hopefully this review doesn?t set your expectations too high but I thoroughly enjoyed this! I hope you have the same experienceI did. Read more

BBQ was pretty good, great atmosphere and the wait staff were courteous. Had fried pickles for an appetizer. Ribs, Brisket,... sausage, French fries and mac-n-cheese. Good sauces and the magic dust was very tasty. The only snag were the ribs. Definatelynot fresh, most likely reheated from the day before. Read more
