Husband and I tried Bovines tonight, and we had a great meal. He ordered the full rack of ribs (only down side: they do not... offer a half rack option). Come with 2 sides he had it with mac n cheese and slaw. I had the meat lovers pizza minus sausage.And boy did we both have more than we could both eat. Sam was our server and she was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed ourdinner on the patio on the waterfront. This used to be our favorite restaurant, like 20 years ago, and then it just wasn't as good anymore. They recently remodeled... and changed the menu, so we gave it another try. I had high hopes, but I can't say I was thrilled. So many restaurants here justcater to tourist and seem to forget about those of us who live here year round. The food was good, the drinks were meh, and theambiance was not great, no background music or anything. Maybe sitting at the bar would have been better, but it felt verytouristy. When the guy came to our table to take our photos, I felt like I was in a tourist trap in Mexico. If you are vacation, go ahead, there wasn't a long wait time and food was decent, and came out quickly. Read more
Shrimp and grits with a view! I like that this restaurant is in the less busy area of the Murrells Inlet boardwalk area. The... views were great. I definitely will be back next time I'm in town. It can be a bit pricy, so be prepared. The starter freebieis yummy mini biscuits with blueberry butter. That was yummy! The shrimp and grits with sausage is a bit spicy but perfect forme! Excellent meal. My wife had grilled salmon, my son had blackened Mahi, and I had a burger. :) The fish was fresh and delicious... (they said), my burger was ground fresh on-site from chuck and also delicious. I added a local IPA to compliment the burger. Nota cheap dinner but well worth it for the quality. We enjoyed it. All in all ok. Pretty slow on a Saturday night. Whole our server was great, all the people helping her seemed to be a bit off.... Food was ok. I had a Caeser salad. It had a lot of dressing on it. Was pretty good though. Also got a pizza which was made in ageneral oven because for some reason they weren't using the brick oven, but it was still pretty good. Had wings too. I thoughtthey were pretty good for how they're cooked. Their blue cheese had a good taste but could have been more chunky. Read more
