Not really authentic but still good. The service was good once seated. Seen another table with chicken wings so I had to get... them and they were good. Some of the other plates were in my opinion were kinda on the higher end for price. Read more

Raymond WAS OUR favorite server at the original location but alas he returned to Mexico and we found Murph.HAVE BEEN coming here... for 15 years. I have never waited this long for my food and then it was cold. Bartender is attentive to a couple of his friendsat the bar to the detriment of others ...me... so sad to write this review about my favorite mexican food restaurant. If thatwerent bad enough...He charged his friends bill to my credit card. I HAD TO sign a void slip and even then he said he would keepboth copies of it..no problem.. I bet.. In 1991 the first of 8 authentic Mexican restaurants opened in its doors in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Ricardo,... Salvador, and Eriberto saw the need of not only offering a true taste of home, but an experience that came with it. Using onlythe freshest of ingredients with their homemade recipes brings their seasoned dishes to perfection. Tortilla chips and salsacame first and I ordered a side of queso. Tortilla chips were saltless, salsa good and queso was milky cheese sauce. Not worththe cost. Cowboy Chimichanga was a nicely stuffed jumbo flour tortilla with chicken, black beans and corn, lightly covered incheese sauce. Lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and seasoned rice on the side. Food was hot, flavorful andoverall nicely presented. Interior was a combination of booths and tables and chairs on a colorful, festive tiled floor. Fullservice bar offered a line of libations and full screen TVs. When I first entered the establishment, the atmosphere was electric, with birthday parties in process. People were smiling, and... happiness was in abundance. My mission was to obtain food to go. I ordered four shrimp tacos, six individual bean burritos, achicken burrito, and a steak chimichanga. I also ordered two sides of chips with salsa on the side. I waited approximately 25minutes for my order and, subsequently, took it home. This is where things get disappointing. The shrimp tacos were justshrimp, nothing else, just shrimp in a cold prefab taco shell. The taco shells were as ordinary as Taco Bell. The shrimp weresmall, not medium, just small. The burritos were presented as enchiladas. Three in each aluminum pan, covered with red sauceand cheese. I ordered them individually and separately. There was no cheese inside, and the beans were cold. The chimichangawas served without anything on it. It was minimal, the size of a taco. There was no cheese inside. There were no dressings onthe outside, and the interior had only partially chopped warm meat. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Don?t wasteyour money or time unless you are there to drink and have cold, stale chips and pace Picante sauce on the side. Disappointed???? Read more
