I enjoyed this cozy setup with lots of natural lighting. I had hot cocoa which was rich and delicious and paired nicely with the... spinach quiche that was pleasantly appetizing. I was on a work trip in Muscatine Iowa. I wanted to treat the team to some bakery breakfast treats and asked The Merrill Hotel... manager for a recommendation. He immediately said - Big Cats one block away. The selections were abundant! The bakery itemswere scones, muffins and bars. All so flavorful and fresh. And coffees. The owner was super-hospitable and made me feel welcome. The atmosphere, a well-designed mix of old meets new, was very... comfortable and relaxing with a perfect view of the Mississippi River. Being in town for a week on business, this sort ofexperience really helps. Obviously homemade, the Carrot Cake, which he generously served me, was amazing! Washing it down with anice cup of dark Sumatra coffee really hit the spot before my early start to day. Big Cat's Cafe will be my go-to spot everytime I return to Muscatine. Read more
