Not the quickest service and food is not going to win any awards. Store seemed under staffed and they were managing as best they... can. Worst experience I've ever had a Maid Rite in my 49 years! 1 table was clean and there was trash all over the floor when we came... in. Watched 2 pairs of folks walk in and wait a few minutes then leave due to no clean tables. Food has changed and not for thebetter. Service subpar at best. Read more

I haven't been to a Maid Rite since 1984 when I lived in the Peoria Illinois area. So when I heard that they were still... available in Iowa I had to get one before we left. So on our way home we stopped at the Maid-Rite in Muscatine. I have to say itwas everything that I remember. The store is very nostalgic looking. It has lots of memorabilia from older times on the wall aswell as vintage Made Rite signs. The Maid-Rite Sandwich was exactly how I remembered. The chili was pretty good. I enjoyed it.I don't like spicy foods and that was perfect. My daughter had a hot dog and it was huge but she really enjoyed it. Everybodyhad root beer floats and since it was the hottest day of the season so far they were extra good. Our waitress was really sweetand she was very attentive. If I ever get a chance to stop by again I'll be sure to do it. Read more
