First time trying this place. Their food is good, but our experience with a large carry out order was dreadful. Ordered a few... days in advance for a party I was planning, and the order was confirmed by the restaurant shortly after. When we arrived a fewminutes after the designated pickup time on Saturday, they hadn?t even started our large order. My friend waited over 10 minutesto be acknowledged, we didn?t receive ANY naan. For our Indian takeout? In the end she got our entrees over an hour late andthey were not apologetic about any of this. In fact they were rather rude. I would?ve appreciated a simple phone call earlier inthe day to say they didn?t have naan or that we shouldn?t arrive so close to the designated time since they were so far behind.Just some communication and an apology would?ve changed our experience and I would not have felt the need to leave this reviewat all. Possibly the worst dining experience of my life, at the very least the worst in Muskegon. Got one 6oz cup of water when we... arrived then nothing else for the entire 2.5hr duration, despite asking multiple times. Only received half of what we ordered,one dish at a time over the course of an hour. Ended up standing at an empty counter for a half hour just waiting to pay thebill. On top of the terrible dining, it was easily the worst Indian food I've ever eaten. Would recommend anyone consideringthis restaurant to steer clear. Read more
Food was pretty good. Take away the dead bug on my menu and the lipstick on my water glass and I would have added another star.
Was truly blown away by how good everything we had was. We ordered half the menu I feel like to get a little taste of... everything. Can't wait to come back. Our leftovers brought home was even delicious the next day! highly recommend the garlicnaan and Tikka Masla! Delicious vegetarian naan pizza. Worth noting, there was quite a bit of a wait time for take-out on the weekend. Another... customer seemed pretty impatient about being told he would have to wait longer than what he was initially told on the phone, butthey were very busy with take-out orders. We didn't mind the wait- just meant we could check out other places in thearea. Everyone working seemed very pleasant, and there is a nice cozy area to wait towards the back of the restaurant. This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten at. The spices and seasoning is perfect. My favorite dish is the... lentil soup. I also enjoyed their eggplant dish and their potatoes in spinach sauce dish. The naan is also the best Ive everhad, crisp and buttered, not too sweet. I really liked the sweet naan with raisins too. Terrible service, negligent business owners and a total disregard for all health/safety standards. Bug bombing their entire... restaurant with 5x the recommended amount of poison at midnight and not telling the people in the apartments that live above isterrible. Reopening 2 days later and getting customers sick is even worse. All to save a buck because the ownership can't bebothered to do things the right way Sorry, but it needs to be said before more people get sick. It's unfortunate to see whatwas once a great restaurant in Downtown Muskegon fall so far. Read more
