What an awesome place!! Excellent ambiance, decor, staff, owners, and very importantly....the ice cream!! We were greeted by... Eric upon entry. He shared with us the history of the location, it's namesake, and how they got started.. a wonderful story! We sampled several of the flavors and could have chosen any of them for our main serving. Excellent sized portions and veryreasonably priced. The Occidental hot fudge is delicious. A must try! They also make small batch specialty ice creams. Iloved the malted flavor! As we were leaving, they mentioned that they also make food items as well. I noticed the chickensalad on the menu and said how much I like chicken salad. Chef Eric said he would be right back with a sample and quickly ranto the back. I was expecting a small spoonful, but he brought out a big plate full of the delicious chicken salad. We orderedthree to go! The portions were enormous and was some of the best chicken salad I have ever eaten. The fresh, perfectcroissants only made it better! Glad I stopped in. I was charging my Zero (100% electric motorcycle) right across the street. Strolled in - met some super... friendly people and gulped down a fantastic butter pecan malt served with a smile, a great story, and a frosted mug. Highlyrecommend. This ice cream shop is unlike any other for many reasons - 1) The owners are top notch, 2) They offer a wide variety of... excellent food options, not only ice cream, 3) The atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, 4) The rotating menus keep the optionsfresh and seasonal and 5) They listen to their customers requests when possible. Not being from around this area, I appreciatean ice cream shop that offers a range of food options. The jalapeño cheddar hot dog bun is the perfect addition to a hotdog.
